Iran–China Reinforce Strategic Partnership Amid Global Unilateralism
Araqchi and Wang Yi reaffirmed their commitment to deepening the strategic partnership between Iran and China during a telephone conversation on Wednesday
Iran, PUREWILAYAH.COM — Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi reaffirmed their commitment to deepening the strategic partnership between Iran and China during a telephone conversation on Wednesday, emphasizing joint efforts to counter unilateralism and destabilizing policies in West Asia and beyond.
Araqchi praised China’s principled stance at the UN Security Council in rejecting the illegal “snapback” process.
He noted constructive trilateral coordination between Iran, China, and Russia in confronting US unilateralism — a position supported by 121 members of the Non-Aligned Movement.
The Iranian foreign minister strongly condemned the Zionist regime’s continued provocative actions in West Asia, calling on the international community to confront the regime’s warmongering and hegemonic behavior and prevent further regional escalation.
Beijing Backs Iran’s Nuclear Rights
Wang Yi emphasized the strategic depth of Tehran–Beijing relations and the need to maintain close coordination at the UN and other multilateral platforms.
He reaffirmed China’s support for Iran’s peaceful nuclear program and its rights as a signatory to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT).
Both sides highlighted the importance of recent presidential discussions in September and the upcoming high-level session, underscoring their commitment to advancing bilateral agreements under the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership framework and ensuring practical implementation mechanisms.
Araqchi and Wang Yi agreed to continue close diplomatic engagement and work to expand cooperation in the coming year, coinciding with the 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Iran and China. (PW)
