Iran Warns: U.S. Forces Across the Region Are Legitimate Targets Following Trump’s Threats
Tehran issues coordinated political and security warnings as U.S. president openly backs unrest inside Iran, exposing foreign interference and escalating regional tensions.
Iran | PUREWILAYAH.COM — Senior Iranian officials have issued stark warnings to the Amerika Serikat, declaring that all U.S. military bases and forces across the region would be considered legitimate targets in response to any act of aggression, following direct threats and interference by Donald Trump.
The statements came after Trump publicly claimed that Washington would intervene if Iran allegedly acted against protesters—remarks Tehran has condemned as an explicit threat against its sovereignty and a continuation of long-standing U.S. destabilization policies.
Qalibaf: U.S. Forces Are Legitimate Targets
Speaking in reaction to Trump’s comments, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Speaker of Iran’s Parliament, stated that any U.S. military adventurism would trigger a direct and region-wide response.
“With this explicit admission by the U.S. president, all American centers and forces throughout the region are legitimate targets in response to any potential adventurism,” Ghalibaf said.
In a post on X, Ghalibaf accused foreign intelligence services of attempting to hijack legitimate economic protests by Iranian merchants and tradespeople, turning them into armed urban unrest. He said these efforts failed due to what he described as the Iranian nation’s historical awareness and unity.
He stressed that Iran distinguishes clearly between lawful protesters and foreign-backed operatives, adding that the Iranian people have repeatedly defeated adversaries far more experienced and aggressive than those currently attempting to destabilize the country.
Larijani: U.S. Interference Will Ignite the Entire Region
In a separate but coordinated response, Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, warned that U.S. involvement in Iran’s internal affairs would have severe regional consequences.
“Trump must know that U.S. interference in Iran’s internal matters will result in chaos across the entire region and the destruction of American interests,” Larijani said.
Larijani noted that recent statements by U.S. and Israeli officials had exposed the real actors behind attempts to exploit unrest inside Iran. He reiterated that Iran differentiates between protesting shopkeepers and organized saboteurs operating under foreign direction.
He concluded with a direct warning to Washington’s public, stating that the path of escalation was initiated by Trump himself and urging Americans to “watch over their soldiers.”
Trump’s Open Threat and Support for Unrest
Trump, in a post on his Truth Social platform, claimed that the United States was “ready to act” and would “come to the rescue” if Iran allegedly used force against what he described as “peaceful protesters.”
Iranian officials described the statement as an open threat, arguing that it confirms U.S. involvement in psychological warfare and incitement against Iran, following Washington’s failure to confront Tehran through direct military means.
Iranian media reported that Trump’s remarks came after Washington and Israel suffered a strategic setback in recent military confrontations with Iran and the Axis of Resistance.
Border Clash Foils Terrorist Infiltration
Amid the political escalation, Iranian security forces announced a successful operation against a terrorist cell attempting to enter the country.
According to Tasnim News Agency, border guards in Iran’s southeastern Sistan and Baluchestan province engaged an armed terrorist group near the Saravan border region. After heavy exchanges of fire, the group was forced to retreat, leaving behind weapons, explosives, and large quantities of ammunition.
Iranian authorities said the operation prevented planned acts of sabotage and insecurity, particularly during sensitive national and religious occasions, reaffirming Tehran’s claim that foreign-linked armed groups are actively attempting to destabilize the country.
Escalation Driven by Foreign Pressure
The escalation reflects a broader U.S.–Israeli strategy to offset military and political defeats by stoking unrest, enforcing economic warfare, and issuing open threats under the banner of “human rights.”
Tehran insists that any aggression—overt or covert—will be met with unified national resistance and a decisive regional response, signaling that Washington’s escalation rhetoric has significantly raised the stakes across West Asia. (PW)
