Iran Uses New Explosive Warheads in Unprecedented Missile Operations
The scale and nature of the attacks demonstrate a clear shift in both operational freedom and strike effectiveness compared to previous confrontations.
Iran, PUREWILAYAH.COM - Recent Iranian missile and drone attacks differ sharply from those carried out during the 12-day war and are described as entirely unprecedented, signaling a clear escalation in both scale and effectiveness.
According to a war analysis report by Tasnim, Seyed Mohammad Taheri said Iran’s operations in recent days reflect a fundamental shift in scale and execution. He noted that regional airspace has effectively been opened to Iranian missiles and drones, allowing Iran to strike and destroy targets wherever it has chosen.
Despite extensive efforts by the United States and Israel over the past eight months to repair and reinforce their air defense systems, these measures appear to have produced no tangible results, with Iran once again emerging as a decisive surprise factor on the battlefield.
New Warhead Design Delivers Greater Destructive Power
Sohail Kathirinijad said Iran’s recent strikes differ from the 12-day war not only in volume but also in quality, reflecting a clear evolution in Iran’s missile technology.
He explained that the explosive composition of Iranian missile warheads has changed compared to earlier phases. According to his assessment, a 500-kilogram warhead now delivers destructive power equivalent to that of previous one-ton warheads, indicating a significant improvement in explosive efficiency and warhead design.
The developments point to a qualitative leap in Iran’s missile strike capabilities, highlighting increased effectiveness and operational freedom in the current phase of the conflict.
