Iran Rejects Media Speculation Regarding Negotiations
Tehran says current negotiations are focused solely on ending the war across all fronts, dismissing media claims about nuclear concessions as baseless speculation.
Iran, PUREWILAYAH.COM — Iran’s Foreign Ministry has firmly rejected media speculation regarding the details of ongoing negotiations related to ending the war, stressing that discussions are currently centered on achieving a ceasefire across all fronts, including Lebanon.
Speaking to IRNA on May 21, 2026, the spokesperson for Iran’s Foreign Ministry dismissed reports claiming that nuclear issues, uranium enrichment, or Iran’s enriched materials were part of the current negotiations.
“At this stage, the focus of the negotiations is on ending the war on all fronts, including Lebanon,” the spokesperson stated. “Claims raised in the media regarding nuclear issues, including enriched materials or enrichment itself, are merely media speculation and lack credibility.”
The spokesperson added that official information regarding the details of the negotiations would only be announced by authorized officials and the spokesperson of the negotiating delegation.
The remarks came amid an intensified media campaign surrounding possible concessions allegedly being discussed behind closed doors following months of regional confrontation involving the United States, the Zionist regime, and the Axis of Resistance.
Iran Says Nuclear Claims Are Baseless Media Speculation
The Foreign Ministry emphasized that discussions at the current stage are strictly focused on ending the war in all arenas, including Lebanon, rejecting attempts by various media outlets to portray the negotiations as centered on Iran’s nuclear program.
Iranian officials have repeatedly stated that unauthorized leaks and contradictory reports are part of a broader psychological warfare campaign aimed at influencing public opinion and the negotiation atmosphere.
