Iran on The Ceasefire Warns: Stay Vigilant Against Israeli Deceit
Tehran calls for international oversight to prevent Zionist violations of the Gaza ceasefire, stressing that the end of war must not mean the end of justice or accountability.
Iran, PUREWILAYAH.COM — The Islamic Republic of Iran has voiced its guarded support for the newly announced Gaza ceasefire, urging all parties — especially Arab and Islamic nations — to remain vigilant against what it described as the “habitual deceit and bad-faith conduct of the Zionist regime.”
In an official statement issued Thursday, the Iranian Foreign Ministry reaffirmed Tehran’s long-standing position that it welcomes any action or initiative that genuinely leads to the cessation of the killing of civilians in Gaza. The statement stressed that ending the genocide and occupation must remain inseparable goals.
Iran: Support for Resistance and Justice Beyond the Ceasefire
The ministry recalled its earlier declaration on October 6, emphasizing that Iran’s stance has always been anchored in moral and political consistency — backing every sincere effort that achieves the end of the genocidal war, ensures the withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces, facilitates humanitarian relief, and secures the release of Palestinian prisoners.
“Iran, as a supporter of the legitimate resistance of the Palestinian people in their pursuit of self-determination, has used every diplomatic capacity — regionally, within the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and at the United Nations — to halt the genocide and force the occupiers to withdraw from Gaza,” the statement affirmed.
The Foreign Ministry paid tribute to the martyrs of the Palestinian Resistance and warned that any pause in hostilities must not be mistaken for an end to the struggle for justice. “The international community bears the moral and legal responsibility to prevent the Zionist regime from violating the ceasefire and reigniting aggression under any pretext,” the statement continued.
Tehran Urges Accountability for War Crimes
Iran’s statement further underscored that the cessation of violence does not absolve international institutions or governments of their duties. “Ending the crimes and genocide in Gaza does not relieve the world of its obligation to pursue justice,” it declared.
Tehran called for the identification and prosecution of those responsible for war crimes, genocide, and crimes against humanity committed in Gaza — stressing that decades of impunity granted to the Zionist entity must come to an end.
“The blood of the oppressed cannot be washed away by temporary truces,” the statement concluded, calling upon the global community to transform this fragile ceasefire into a turning point toward accountability, liberation, and a just peace rooted in the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
