Iran Maintains Oil Flow as 13 Supertankers Load at Kharg Island
Despite U.S.-Israeli attacks, Iran continues exports from Kharg Island, loading supertankers, earning $140M daily, and warning of retaliation if struck.
Iran, PUREWILAYAH.COM - The Financial Times reported that at least 13 very large crude carriers (VLCCs) have been loaded at Iran’s main export terminal on Kharg Island since the start of U.S. and Israeli attacks.
During this period, approximately 24 million barrels of Iranian oil have passed through the Strait of Hormuz.
According to energy data estimates, Iran has been loading around 1.5 to 1.6 million barrels per day onto tankers since the war began, generating approximately $140 million in daily revenue.
Iran Warns of Retaliation Over Kharg Threats
Brigadier General Abolfazl Shekarchi, senior spokesperson of Iran’s Armed Forces, warned that any attack on Kharg Island would be met with a decisive and powerful response.
He stated that if the United States or any country carries out aggression against the island or its oil infrastructure, Iran will target the oil and gas facilities of the originating country.
Shekarchi emphasized that Iran’s armed forces have consistently acted on their warnings and would show no red lines when defending national interests.
He further warned that any country serving as a base for such aggression would risk seeing its oil and gas infrastructure destroyed.
TankerTrackers: Operations Remain Normal
Oil tracking firm TankerTrackers reported that loading operations at Kharg Island remain normal.
The company stated that two Iranian tankers loaded a combined 2.7 million barrels of crude oil during the early hours of the same night the United States reportedly carried out strikes on the island.
Despite claims by President Donald Trump that one of the most powerful bombardments in Middle East history targeted Kharg Island, available data suggests that the island’s 55 crude oil storage tanks remain intact, and export operations continue without major disruption. (PW)
