Iran Condemns U.S. Hypocrisy Over Claimed “Concern for the Iranian People”
Tehran says Washington’s rhetoric masks military aggression, illegal sanctions, and complicity with a genocidal regime
Iran, PUREWILAYAH.COM — The Islamic Republic of Iran has strongly condemned what it described as the blatant hypocrisy of the United States in claiming “concern for the Iranian people,” while simultaneously pursuing policies of aggression, coercion, and collective punishment against Iran and its representatives.
In a statement published on the official account of Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Tehran responded to the continued unlawful measures imposed by Washington against Iran’s diplomatic mission in New York, denouncing them as part of a broader pattern of hostility and intimidation.
U.S. Aggression, Sanctions, and Complicity With Israeli Crimes
Iran’s Foreign Ministry stated that the military aggression against Iran, the collaboration with a genocidal regime in the killing of Iranian citizens, the imposition of illegal sanctions, and the abuse of the United States’ host-country privileges at the United Nations all stem from the same source: the U.S. regime’s open disregard for moral and humanitarian principles, international law, and the UN Charter.
The statement directly linked Washington’s conduct to its unwavering support for Israel, as a genocidal regime, stressing that U.S. political, military, and diplomatic backing enables Israeli crimes while Washington simultaneously postures as a defender of human rights.
Tehran emphasized that such actions expose the true nature of U.S. policy — one rooted in domination, violence, and impunity, rather than concern for civilian lives.
“Concern for the Iranian People” Exposed as a Fraud
The Iranian Foreign Ministry sharply criticized attempts by the United States Department of State to whitewash these violations under what it called the hypocritical and deceptive slogan of “concern for the Iranian people.”
According to the statement, illegal sanctions targeting Iran’s population and unlawful restrictions imposed on Iranian representatives at the United Nations constitute direct violations of fundamental human rights and diplomatic norms.
Iran further warned that Washington is deliberately abusing its role as host of the UN to transform it into an instrument of bullying foreign policy, aimed at intimidating UN member states by harassing their diplomats.
“The fulfillment of host-country obligations toward the United Nations is not an act of goodwill,” the statement stressed, “but a binding legal duty under the 1946 Headquarters Agreement.”
The U.S. conduct reflects systematic contempt for international law and confirms that Washington’s rhetoric about humanitarian values serves only as a cover for coercion, aggression, and protection of Israeli crimes. (PW)
