Iran Condemns Israeli Threat Against Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei as ‘State Terrorism’
Iran appealed to the UN after Israeli War Minister declared Ayatollah Sayyed Mojtaba Khamenei “marked for death,” calling the threat an act of state terrorism and warning of immediate consequences.
Iran, PUREWILAYAH.COM – Iran has formally lodged a complaint with the United Nations over Israeli War Minister Israel Katz’s public threat against Ayatollah Sayyed Mojtaba Khamenei, describing the statement as an act of state terrorism and a direct violation of international law.
In an official letter addressed to the UN Secretary-General and the President of the Security Council, Iran’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Amir Saeid Iravani, condemned Katz’s remarks and urged the international body to take immediate action.
Iran Calls for UN Action
According to the letter, Iran considers Katz’s declaration that Ayatollah Sayyed Mojtaba Khamenei is “marked for death” to be “a blatant act of state terrorism” and “a flagrant violation of the Charter of the United Nations.”
Iravani warned that such threats reflect the Israeli entity’s longstanding policy of targeting senior Iranian officials through assassination.
He also cautioned that continued inaction by the UN Security Council would only encourage the Israeli occupation to continue committing further violations.
Sayyed Abbas Araghchi Warns of Immediate Response
Iranian Foreign Minister Sayyed Abbas Araghchi also responded to the Israeli threat, warning that any attempt to target Iran’s leadership or its people would be met with a decisive response.
Writing on X, Araghchi stated that the United States had committed itself to restraining “its pets in Tel Aviv.”
“If they ignore their master, Iran will school them,” he wrote.
Araghchi also reaffirmed that the terms of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding are public and unambiguous.
“Any threat against our People and Leadership will receive Immediate Powerful Response,” he said.
Katz Repeats Threat Against Iran’s Leadership
Israel Katz made the remarks while responding to questions about The Supreme Leader.
He stated that the Iranian leader was “marked for death” and claimed Iran was attempting to gain concessions through negotiations.
Katz also repeated that Israel would not allow Iran to obtain nuclear weapons, adding that reaching such an outcome through an agreement would be preferable. (PW)
