Iran Army Chief: Armed Forces Stand Ready to Confront Any Threat
Hatami says Iran’s military draws strength from the people and remains fully prepared to defend sovereignty and territorial integrity
Iran, PUREWILAYAH.COM — Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army, Major General Amir Hatami, stated that Iran’s armed forces stand firmly against any threat, emphasizing that the military’s strength is rooted in the support of the Iranian people.
In a message marking Teacher’s Day, Hatami said the army has reached a high level of preparedness by drawing on the knowledge of educators, the guidance of the leadership, and accumulated battlefield experience.
“The Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran, relying on the power and backing of the great Iranian nation, stands as it has always done against any threat and hostility,” he stated.
Preparedness Built on Experience and Guidance
Hatami underscored that the army has significantly enhanced its defense capabilities through lessons learned from past conflicts, particularly the eight-year imposed war and more recent confrontations.
He said the armed forces have come to a clear understanding of the need to continuously elevate their operational readiness in order to fulfill their core mission.
“The army has learned that it must strengthen its defensive power and readiness in such a way that it can carry out its grave responsibility—preserving the independence, territorial integrity, and the Islamic Republic of Iran—in the best possible manner,” he said.

The army chief highlighted that the backing of the Iranian people remains a central pillar of national defense, describing it as a decisive factor in sustaining military strength.
He also pointed to the role of committed teachers, instructors, and trainers in shaping the capabilities of the armed forces, noting that their contributions form a critical part of the army’s success.

Hatami reaffirmed that the armed forces operate under the guidance of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatullah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, and remain committed to defending the country with determination and clarity.
“Today, the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran stands more prepared than ever, resolute and with revolutionary insight, ready to confront any threat and enemy,” he said.
