Statement of the Supreme National Security Council on the Martyrdom of Dr. Ali Larijani
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
“Among the believers are men who have been true to their covenant with Allah. Some of them have fulfilled their vow, and some are still waiting; and they have not changed in the least.”
O dear and proud nation of Iran!
“A servant of God has returned to God.”
The pure souls of the martyrs have embraced the purified soul of a righteous servant of Allah, the martyr Dr. Ali Larijani. After a lifetime of struggle in the path of elevating Iran and the Islamic Revolution, he ultimately attained his long-cherished aspiration, answered the call of Truth, and with honor achieved the blessed grace of martyrdom in the trench of service.
He has joined the Imam of the martyrs of Ramadan, the Commander of the Faithful, Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him), and the standard-bearer of martyrdom and jihad against America and Israel, His Eminence Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, as well as his martyred teacher, Ayatollah Motahhari, and his fellow martyrs Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and Hajj Qassem Soleimani.
Until the final moments of his blessed life, he remained devoted to elevating the word of Allah and tirelessly pursued the dignity and development of beloved Iran. He consistently called upon the people and officials to maintain unity and cohesion in the face of the bloodthirsty enemy.
Ultimately, in the dawn of the blessed month of Ramadan, alongside his faithful son Morteza, the Deputy for Security of the Secretariat of the Supreme National Security Council, Alireza Bayat, and a group of brave protectors, he attained the exalted rank of martyrdom.
Certain victory awaits those who struggle on the path of truth, and these martyrdoms will further strengthen the determination of the nation and the Ummah to continue the path of those men of God.
Blessed is his noble martyrdom, for the reward of his years of struggle could not have been anything less than this great triumph.
May his memory remain eternal, and may his path be followed by many.
“Then We took vengeance upon those who committed crimes, and it was incumbent upon Us to support the believers.”
