Imperialist Pacification Plot: Uganda Approves Troop Deployment to Gaza Under US-Zionist 'Stabilisation' Scheme

Kampala/Gaza — In a move that exposes the deep reach of US imperialist coercion, the Ugandan parliament has approved the deployment of its military forces to the besieged Gaza Strip. The Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) will serve as the vanguard for a planned “International Stabilisation Force,” a mechanism designed by Washington and the Zionist regime to enforce the pacification of Gaza and liquidate the Palestinian armed Resistance.
According to reports, the deployment is part of the so-called “Sharm al-Sheikh roadmap” intended to implement US President Donald Trump’s dictated “peace plan,” which was rubber-stamped by the UN Security Council last November. This roadmap aims to install a US-led “Board of Peace” that will oversee the reconstruction of Gaza while stripping the Palestinian people of their legitimate right to resist occupation.
The Farce of “Neutrality” and Rules of Engagement
Ugandan Defence Minister Kiryowa Kiwanuka tabled the motion, claiming the contingent “will remain neutral, comply with international humanitarian law, protect civilians without taking sides in political disputes.” However, the details of the US-dictated roadmap expose the hollow nature of this so-called neutrality.
Under the rules of engagement, the International Stabilisation Force is permitted to use force only in cases of “imminent danger” to civilians and is strictly prohibited from seizing weapons or engaging Palestinian gunmen.
This critical detail reveals the true nature of the mission: the US and the Zionist entity are deploying Global South troops as passive spectators. Terrified of engaging the battle-hardened Palestinian Resistance in the ruins of Gaza, the imperialist powers are using African troops to buffer Zionist occupation forces while refusing to authorise them to disarm the Resistance. The force is meant to separate the Palestinian fighters from areas administered by a proposed US-approved “National Committee,” effectively enforcing a geographic surrender.
A Tool for the Normalisers
The International Stabilisation Force will primarily be composed of troops from countries that have already normalised relations with the Zionist regime and have received Tel Aviv’s explicit approval. By rushing to be the first contingent on the ground, Uganda is aligning itself with the camp of normalisers, sacrificing African and Global South solidarity with Palestine on the altar of Western appeasement.
Furthermore, the roadmap outlines that this foreign force will work alongside a newly fabricated Palestinian police force, which is set to be trained and overseen by Egyptian authorities. This dual-pronged approach is a blatant attempt to bypass the legitimate Palestinian factions and install a quisling security apparatus tasked with policing the population on behalf of the occupiers.
Domestic Backlash and Operational Risks
The decision in Kampala has not gone without severe domestic criticism. Ugandan opposition parties condemned the parliamentary motion as being dangerously rushed, bypassing proper scrutiny of a highly volatile mission.
Opposition Member of Parliament John Baptist Nambeshe highlighted the grim reality of the deployment, warning of immense operational risks. He noted that Gaza remains an active zone of urban warfare, making it “very difficult to distinguish between combatants and civilians.” The opposition rightly fears that Ugandan troops are being sent into a trap laid by Washington and Tel Aviv, where they will bear the brunt of the chaos resulting from the Zionist regime’s genocidal destruction of the Strip.
Rejecting Imperialist Hegemony
The deployment of foreign troops to Gaza under the guise of “stabilisation” is not a mission of peace; it is an imperialist occupation by proxy. It is a desperate attempt by a failing US hegemony to enforce a military and political defeat upon the Palestinian people and secure the Zionist regime’s genocidal gains.
However, the Palestinian Resistance has repeatedly proven that it cannot be subjugated by foreign dictates or US roadmaps. The introduction of Ugandan and other foreign troops will not bring “stability” to Gaza; it will only add another layer of illegitimate foreign presence to a land that the Resistance has sworn to liberate. The Axis of Resistance and the steadfast Palestinian people view such imperialist manoeuvres not as protectors, but as complicit tools of the Zionist occupation.
