TEHRAN — In a resounding message marking the National Day of Fighting Global Arrogance and National Students’ Day, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Sayyid Mojtaba Khamenei, delivered a definitive verdict on the crumbling edifice of American imperialism. Commemorating the historic 1979 seizure of the US “Den of Espionage” by revolutionary students and honouring the Iranian nation’s ongoing resistance against US-Zionist aggression, the Imam emphasised that the historic struggle between the Front of Truth and the Front of Falsehood is rapidly reaching its decisive conclusion.
The Ultimate Sacrifice and Decades of US Enmity
Tracing the roots of Washington’s relentless hostility back to the treacherous 1953 coup orchestrated to plunder Iran’s oil, the Imam detailed a sordid history of US crimes. He highlighted decades of American pillaging, the establishment of the brutal SAVAK regime to suffocate society, and desperate attempts to preserve their handpicked dictators on the eve of the Islamic Revolution’s glorious victory.
The Supreme Leader then outlined the endless list of Washington’s post-revolution atrocities: backing separatists and coup plotters, arming the heartless MEK, and comprehensively supporting the Ba’ath Party during the First Imposed War. He condemned the downing of the Iranian civilian airliner, the imposition of severe economic sanctions, the arming of seditionists during domestic unrest, and the theft of Iranian assets abroad.
Most grievously, the Imam pointed to the assassination of the hero of the Islamic Ummah, Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani, and the US-initiated Second and Third Imposed Wars. He mourned the immense toll of these direct military attacks, which martyred Iran’s elite, scientists, commanders, innocent infants, and the elderly—foremost among them, the great Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei (may God sanctify his pure soul).
“Throughout all these stages, the arrogant leaders of the US and their minions have consistently sought to impose their domination on Iran and force it into submission,” the Imam declared, noting that Washington has now discarded all international pretences, brazenly pursuing the fragmentation of Iran and the destruction of its ancient civilisation. “But at every stage, they’ve come up against the impenetrable wall of on-the-ground realities and the steadfast resolve of the valiant Iranian nation.”
“Initiatory Jihad” and the Shattering of the US Myth
Because of this enduring resistance, the Imam stated that every single day and hour has now become a day for fighting the Great Satan. Pointing to seismic developments in the Persian Gulf and the strategic Strait of Hormuz, Ayatollah Khamenei highlighted how the myth of American invincibility has been utterly shattered.
The Supreme Leader noted that Iran’s exercise of control over the Strait of Hormuz and the destruction of US military bases across the region—righteous responses to the crimes of the Third Imposed War—constitute an “initiatory jihad” (jihad ibtida’i) against Global Arrogance on a regional scale. These historic blows have exposed the profound weakness of puppet regimes that rely on foreign occupiers, revealing the disloyalty and inability of major powers to defend their regional clients.
“Should those aggressions be repeated,” the Leader warned, “the response will be much more extensive.”
The Axis of Resistance and the New World Order
Crucially, Imam Mojtaba Khamenei praised the unity of the Front of Truth. The strategic, powerful acts of heroism by the Resistance Front—spanning from Palestine and Lebanon to Iraq and Yemen—operating in synergy with Iran’s military might, are heralding a bright and hopeful dawn: the raising of the banner of Truth and the laying of the groundwork for a new world order.
The Imam affirmed that the Iranian nation has drawn profound lessons from the pure teachings of Prophet Muhammad (S), the Islamic Revolution, and the schools of thought of Imam Khomeini and Martyr Khamenei (may God exalt their noble stations). Through this divine trust, America’s hard military power and international soft power have suffered an irreversible, accelerating collapse.
The Folly of Appeasement
Addressing those who harbour illusions about negotiations or shifting political factions in Washington, the Imam issued a stark warning. Their singular goal remains the unconditional surrender of the Iranian people.
“Even the slightest inclination toward submission to this domineering enemy would cause the immense capital acquired through the blessings brought by the blood of our martyrs... to be lost,” the Supreme Leader cautioned, adding that any concession is an act of ingratitude that would only embolden the arrogant enemy to launch more wars and further aggression.
Invoking the divine promise of the Holy Quran, the Imam reminded the faithful:
“Indeed, falsehood is bound to perish”

The forces of Global Arrogance, regardless of their stolen resources, cannot withstand the Front of Truth; their inevitable fate is retreat and humiliating defeat.
