Leader of the Islamic Republic says mass presence and national unity force aggressors to retreat from plots against Iran
Iran | PUREWILAYAH.COM — The Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, called on the Iranian nation to demonstrate its will, unity, and steadfastness on 22 Bahman, urging the people to “disappoint the enemy” through mass participation and unwavering resolve.
In a televised message issued ahead of the 47th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Khamenei described 22 Bahman as the annual manifestation of Iran’s national power and dignity.
22 Bahman: Manifestation of National Power
Imam Khamenei said that 22 Bahman represents the public unveiling of the Iranian nation’s strength, describing the people as motivated, resolute, aware, and firmly grounded in their national interests.
He recalled that during the first 22 Bahman in 1979, the Iranian nation achieved a historic victory by freeing itself and the country from foreign domination—an interference that hostile powers have continuously sought to restore in the decades since.
Unmatched Popular Mobilization
Highlighting the unique nature of Iran’s annual anniversary marches, Imam Khamenei said there is no parallel anywhere in the world where, decades after independence, a nation marks its national day with massive, nationwide mobilization year after year.
He stressed that the Iranian people, by taking to the streets, clearly display their presence and force those who harbor ambitions against Iran, its Islamic system, and its national interests to retreat.
National Power Rooted in Popular Will
The Leader emphasized that national strength is not primarily defined by military hardware, but by the will, unity, and endurance of the people.
“Power is formed by the resolve of nations,” he said, adding that Iran’s enemies must be rendered hopeless, as long as they retain hope, nations remain exposed to pressure and harm.
According to Imam Khamenei, unity, intellectual strength, motivation, and resistance to enemy manipulation are the core pillars that constitute true national power.
Youth, Progress, and Revolutionary Loyalty
Imam Khamenei expressed hope that Iranian youth will continue advancing across all arenas—science, action, ethics, spiritual growth, and material development—bringing honor and pride to the country.
He said 22 Bahman symbolizes all these dimensions, as people from all walks of life gather in the streets to chant slogans, express truths, declare solidarity, and reaffirm their loyalty to the Islamic Republic.
Concluding his address, Imam Khamenei voiced confidence that this year’s 22 Bahman will further amplify the dignity and grandeur of the Iranian nation, compelling foreign powers, governments, and global actors to show humility before the will of the Iranian people.
