Palestine, PUREWILAYAH.COM — Yemeni women in the capital Sana’a and across all free provinces poured into the streets on Wednesday in massive rallies marking the birth anniversary of Sayyida Fatima al-Zahra (peace be upon her), coinciding with the International Day of the Muslim Woman.
The unprecedented turnout reaffirmed the central role of Yemeni women in confronting hostile schemes, strengthening national identity, and supporting the country’s steadfast resistance.
In Sana’a, the main rally at Al-Shaab Mosque Square highlighted the spiritual and educational significance of the occasion as women emphasized that the noble character, devotion, and steadfastness of Sayyida Fatima serve as an enduring model for the believing woman.
Participants stressed that the resilience of Yemeni women under aggression and siege—alongside their role in maintaining social stability—stems directly from their deep connection to the teachings of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them).
Multiple Cities Hold Large Marches Reflecting a Unified Message
Following the capital’s mass mobilisation, the districts surrounding Sana’a held four major marches:
Bani Hashish at the Rasool al-A’zam Square
Hamdan and Bani Matar at Qa‘a Sahman
Sana’a al-Jadida, Sanhan, Bilad al-Rus, and Khawlan at the Thalathin Square
Manakha at the al-Shahid al-Qasimi School Square
Across the rallies, women underscored the importance of strengthening community cohesion, defending cultural identity, and protecting younger generations from soft-war targeting.
