Hezbollah Strikes Israeli Military Site, Says Ongoing Aggression Cannot Go Unanswered
Lebanese Resistance affirms its military response is a legitimate act of self-defense after 15 months of sustained Israeli violations
Lebanon | PUREWILAYAH.COM – The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon – Hezbollah has declared that the continued Israeli aggression against Lebanon over the past fifteen months cannot persist without response, affirming that confrontation remains a legitimate and defensive right in the face of ongoing violations.
In a statement addressing the latest developments, the Resistance stressed that Israel’s assault on Lebanon has continued “through killing, destruction, bulldozing, and every form of criminality,” despite repeated political and diplomatic efforts aimed at halting the aggression and compelling the occupation to abide by the ceasefire agreement and its obligations.
“Aggression Cannot Continue Without Response”
The statement, released early Tuesday, underscored that all attempts to curb Israeli violations through diplomatic channels have failed.
Hezbollah warned clearly that “aggression cannot continue without response,” and that assassinations and destruction “cannot go on unchecked.”
The Resistance emphasized that serious and effective action is now required to put an end to the aggression “by all available means,” placing responsibility on concerned parties to intervene decisively and halt ongoing violations.
The statement came amid the activation of sirens in multiple Israeli settlements across occupied Palestine. Initial Israeli media reports claimed attacks were launched from both Lebanon and Iran. However, the Israeli military later stated that the sirens were triggered by ballistic missiles fired from Iran, adding that no rocket fire was detected from Lebanon.
Defensive Strike on Military Target
Hezbollah described its recent strike against an Israeli military installation as a legitimate and defensive act carried out in direct response to continued aggression against Lebanon.
The Resistance affirmed that confrontation under such circumstances is a lawful right, driven first and foremost by national considerations and the duty to restore security and stability to the Lebanese people and affected regions.
The statement concluded by stressing that those responsible must act decisively to stop the aggression, describing it as the direct cause of the escalating situation in Lebanon. (PW)
