Recent escalations in Israeli aggression against Lebanon have drawn widespread condemnation and highlighted the unbreakable resolve of the Lebanese Resistance. Amid a campaign of intensified airstrikes, shelling, and the systematic destruction of homes and infrastructure, Hezbollah remains the steadfast shield of Lebanon’s sovereignty and dignity.
The latest Israeli assaults, which have resulted in numerous civilian casualties—including children—and widespread displacement, have been carried out under the full political and military cover of the United States. In a strongly worded statement, Hezbollah condemned the international community’s deafening silence and the US-backed impunity that enables the Zionist regime’s crimes. Furthermore, the Resistance movement sharply criticised the Lebanese government’s failure to protect its citizens and its misguided approach to negotiations with the occupying entity. Hezbollah Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qassem vehemently rejected direct talks with Israel, describing them as a “humiliating surrender” that grants legitimacy to the aggressor while yielding nothing for Lebanon.
This unwavering stance has resonated deeply across the Axis of Resistance. Brigadier General Esmail Qaani, Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) Quds Force, praised Hezbollah as a “towering tree with deep divine and popular roots.” Qaani emphasised that Hezbollah’s operational and defensive capabilities will ultimately lead to the removal of the Israeli occupation from the region. He pointed out that the Zionist regime is facing deep, comprehensive crises across military, security, political, economic, and moral fronts, bringing it to the brink of collapse—a fate that cannot be averted even with Donald Trump’s patronage.
The blatant crimes of the Israeli regime have also sparked outrage beyond the region. Cuba’s Foreign Minister, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, fiercely condemned the ongoing attacks, labelling them “barbarity with impunity.” Highlighting the tragic toll of the conflict, Rodríguez noted that thousands of Lebanese civilians, including hundreds of children, have been killed or wounded over the past months, dismissing these atrocities as anything but “collateral damage.”
As Israel continues its desperate attempts to fragment the region and impose its will through brute force, the unified front of the Resistance grows stronger. Backed by the steadfastness of the Lebanese people, the strategic backing of Iran, and widespread international condemnation of Zionist crimes, Hezbollah continues to ensure that Lebanon’s independence and dignity remain unbroken.
