Hezbollah Retaliatory Strikes on Israeli Targets
Hezbollah carries out drone and rocket strikes on Israeli military positions and settlements in response to ceasefire violations and ongoing attacks on Lebanon
Lebanon, PUREWILAYAH.COM — Hezbollah announced a new wave of retaliatory drone and rocket attacks targeting Israeli military positions and settlements, citing continued ceasefire violations and ongoing aggression against southern Lebanon.
In an official statement, the group said its fighters launched a swarm of explosive drones targeting the Israeli settlement of Adamit, describing the operation as part of its response to repeated attacks on Lebanese territory.
Hezbollah stated that the strikes were carried out “in defense of Lebanon and its people” and in response to ongoing violations of the ceasefire agreement.
“Despite the resistance’s commitment to the ceasefire, the enemy has not adhered to it. This response will continue as long as the US-Israeli aggression against our country and our people persists.”
Multiple Targets Hit Across Northern Israel
The group also reported additional operations targeting Israeli military positions and troop concentrations in the areas of Al-Bayada and Shamaa, using rockets and artillery in repeated strikes.
In a separate statement, Hezbollah said it carried out drone attacks against Israeli infrastructure in Adamit, while launching rocket strikes on military positions in Sha’ar Yashuv, HaGoshrim, and Neot Mordechai.
The operations form part of what Hezbollah described as an ongoing campaign of retaliation against Israeli military activity and attacks on civilian areas in southern Lebanon.
Israeli Army Reports Casualties and Drone Strike
The Israeli military confirmed that one reservist non-commissioned officer was seriously wounded and another soldier injured after an explosive drone detonated near forces operating in southern Lebanon.
According to an Israeli army spokesperson, the injuries were caused by shrapnel from a drone that exploded close to troops in the area.
Israeli media reported that the attack targeted a military vehicle, believed to be a Hummer, during a Hezbollah operation.
Rockets and Drones Strike Northern Cities
In parallel, the Israeli army said it recorded approximately 30 rocket launches from Lebanon toward northern Israel on Friday.
Israeli media reported a drone explosion in the city of Nahariya, while additional reports indicated that a rocket landed near Safed, according to Channel 14.
Firefighting teams were also deployed in Kiryat Shmona after a rocket strike sparked a blaze, with initial reports suggesting possible casualties or people trapped at the site.
Escalation Amid Ongoing Conflict
Hezbollah stated that the latest operations are part of a broader retaliatory campaign in response to what it described as continued Israeli attacks and massacres in Lebanon.
The group reiterated that its military response will persist until the cessation of what it termed “US-Israeli aggression.”
The latest escalation comes as cross-border exchanges between Hezbollah and Israeli forces continue to intensify, raising concerns over a prolonged and expanding conflict along the northern front. (PW)
