Hezbollah: Lebanese Authorities Responsible for Israeli Attacks on the Lebanese Army
Three Lebanese Army personnel, including a brigadier general and captain, were martyred as Hezbollah condemned a deadly Israeli drone strike.
Lebanon, PUREWILAYAH.COM — Hezbollah condemned an Israeli drone strike that targeted a Lebanese Army vehicle on the Khardali–Nabatieh road in southern Lebanon, killing three military personnel, including a brigadier general and a captain.
The Resistance movement described the attack as a “deliberate and cowardly crime” and said Lebanese authorities bear responsibility for allowing continued Israeli aggression against the country.
Hezbollah Condemns Israeli Attack
In a statement issued on Saturday, Hezbollah strongly condemned the Israeli strike, which killed three members of the Lebanese Army.
The movement said the attack formed part of the ongoing Israeli aggression against Lebanon, particularly in the country’s southern regions and the western Bekaa.
Hezbollah expressed condolences to the families of the martyrs and to the Lebanese Army command, while reaffirming its support for the national armed forces.
The Resistance movement described the attack as a “deliberate and cowardly crime” carried out by the Israeli occupation.
Hezbollah Blames Authorities for Continued Aggression
Hezbollah stated that the attack was the result of what it described as the Lebanese authorities’ disregard for national sovereignty and their continued concessions to Israeli demands.
According to the movement, such policies have encouraged the Israeli occupation to persist in its attacks against both the Lebanese people and the country’s armed forces.
The statement added that Lebanese officials bear responsibility for failing to protect the country’s sovereignty and for allowing the occupation to continue its violations without meaningful deterrence.
Israeli Attacks Continue Across Lebanon
Earlier on Saturday, three Lebanese Army personnel were martyred after an Israeli drone strike targeted a military vehicle on the Khardali–Nabatieh road in southern Lebanon.
The Lebanese Army announced that several military personnel, including an officer, were killed in the attack.
According to Al Mayadeen’s correspondent in southern Lebanon, the martyrs included a brigadier general and a captain, making it one of the deadliest Israeli attacks against the Lebanese Army in recent months.
The strike came amid continued Israeli attacks across southern Lebanon despite ongoing diplomatic efforts and repeated calls for an end to violations of Lebanese territory.
Local sources also reported additional Israeli drone activity in the Nabatieh region on Saturday, while attacks on civilian areas in southern Lebanon continued.
The latest attack adds to a growing list of Israeli strikes that have targeted Lebanese Army personnel, healthcare workers, paramedics, journalists, and civilians during the ongoing aggression against Lebanon. (PW)
