Hezbollah Launches Four Operations Against Israeli Army in South Lebanon
Strikes target artillery site, military vehicle, and troop gatherings as Hezbollah downs four Israeli drones in response to ceasefire violations
Lebanon, PUREWILAYAH.COM — The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon, Hezbollah, carried out four military operations against Israeli army positions in southern Lebanon on Wednesday, in a calibrated response to continued ceasefire violations and repeated attacks on civilians by the occupation.
The Resistance issued a statement early Thursday confirming that the operations were conducted as part of its commitment to defend Lebanon’s sovereignty and deter further aggression.
First Strike Targets Artillery Position
According to the statement, the first operation took place at 11:00 a.m. local time, when a newly established Israeli artillery position in the al-Bayyadah area was targeted by a suicide drone. Hezbollah reported that a fire broke out at the site of impact.
In a separate development, a Lebanese journalist was martyred in a brutal attack by the Israeli regime.
Coordinated Attacks and Drone Downings
In continuation, at 18:00, several simultaneous operations were carried out. In one of these attacks, a military Humvee vehicle belonging to the Israeli army command in the al-Qantara area was targeted, with Hezbollah stating that the strike resulted in a direct hit. At the same time, a gathering of Israeli forces in the same area was also targeted by a suicide drone.
Hezbollah further announced that, in response to violations of Lebanese airspace, it had downed four Israeli reconnaissance drones in the al-Mansouri area.
Hezbollah emphasized that these operations were conducted within the framework of “defending Lebanon and its people,” aiming to prevent continued attacks and contain Israeli aggression. (PW)
