Hezbollah Conducts Highest Number of Operations in a Single Day Since Ceasefire
Ten coordinated resistance operations mark the largest single-day escalation since the truce, meanwhile Israeli officials warn Washington their deterrence against Hezbollah is eroding.
Lebanon, PUREWILAYAH.COM — The Islamic Resistance in Hezbollah announced that it carried out 10 operations against positions of the Israeli occupation army across multiple areas in southern Lebanon on April 30.
The operations were conducted in response to continued crimes by the occupation forces and repeated violations of the ceasefire.
The total of 10 operations marks the highest number carried out by Hezbollah in a single day since the ceasefire took effect, highlighting a sharp escalation in the pace of resistance activity.
During these attacks, at least one Israeli soldier was killed and a minimum of four others were wounded.
Escalation Marks Record Since Ceasefire
This level of coordinated action represents an unprecedented single-day surge in Hezbollah’s operations since the truce began, signaling a shift in the intensity and frequency of engagements on the Lebanon front.
The operations targeted multiple positions of the Israeli occupation army, reflecting a broader operational spread rather than isolated strikes.
FPV Drones Reshape Battlefield Dynamics
Hezbollah fighters primarily relied on FPV (First-Person View) suicide drones in these operations—advanced systems guided via fiber-optic cables, making interception or electronic disruption effectively impossible.
Equipped with RPG warheads, these drones have emerged as a major challenge for Israeli forces in the recent phase of the war, increasingly shaping battlefield outcomes.
Israeli Officials Admit Deterrence Is Eroding
Supporting reports from Hebrew media indicate that Israeli officials have formally informed the United States that their deterrence against Hezbollah is nearing collapse.
According to Israel’s Channel 12, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu discussed the issue in a phone call with U.S. President Donald Trump.
Netanyahu reportedly stressed that the current policy of “restraint” in Lebanon weakens Israel’s deterrence and benefits Hezbollah, warning that limiting responses without initiative allows the Resistance to recover and strengthen its position.
Pressure on Washington, Risk of Wider Escalation
Israeli officials have urged Washington to shorten the diplomatic timeframe with Lebanon to no later than mid-May—roughly two to three weeks—arguing that continued Hezbollah attacks undermine the chances of successful negotiations.
They are pressing for a clear deadline, warning that failure of talks should open the door to a broader military escalation plan.
Hebrew media also noted that U.S.-imposed restrictions on Israeli actions are viewed as limiting military freedom and giving Hezbollah time to reorganize. As a result, Israeli decision-making is increasingly tied to Washington’s broader strategic calculations, particularly regarding its engagement with Iran.
Amid these developments, Israeli Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir visited the northern front, stating that forces are implementing political directives while awaiting decisions on the next phase, as the situation remains open to either escalation or a redefinition of engagement rules. (PW)
