Hamas: Trump’s Gaza Plan Targets the Entire Palestinian People
Hamas official Abdul Rahman Shadid says U.S. President Donald Trump’s proposal threatens the rights, constants, and political existence of all Palestinians, not only Hamas.
Palestine, PUREWILAYAH.COM – A senior official of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), Abdul Rahman Shadid, affirmed on Wednesday that U.S. President Donald Trump’s newly announced Gaza plan is not directed solely at Hamas as a movement but endangers the entire Palestinian people, their factions, rights, and political identity.
“The plan touches all our people, their factions, their rights, their constants, and their political being, as well as the future of their cause,” Shadid stated in a press release.
A Unified National Response
Shadid emphasized that the plan carries “grave risks” for the future of the Palestinian cause in its entirety. He stressed that the appropriate reply to such a proposal will be a comprehensive national response, not one confined to a single faction.
He added that final positions will be determined following ongoing consultations with all Palestinian factions, ensuring that the collective response reflects national consensus.
Trump’s Proposal: Disarmament in Exchange for Reconstruction
On Monday, U.S. President Donald Trump, alongside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, unveiled the so-called Gaza plan at the White House.
The proposal includes:
The release of Israeli captives in a single deal.
The disarmament of the Palestinian Resistance.
Promises of Israeli withdrawal from certain areas of Gaza.
Reconstruction projects under external oversight.
The exclusion of Palestinian resistance factions from political administration.
While consultations continue, Shadid underlined that Hamas’ position is rooted in the defense of the entire Palestinian nation, not factional interests. He reiterated that the response to Trump’s plan will be firm, national, and united, preserving Palestinian rights and rejecting all attempts to strip the Resistance of its legitimacy. (PW)
