Hamas Slams Saudi Media Over Baseless Reports of Agreement to Hand Over Weapons
Hamas has issued an official statement strongly denying reports circulated by some media outlets claiming that the group had agreed to gradually hand over its weapons under international supervision
Palestine, PUREWILAYAH.COM – The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, has issued an official statement strongly denying reports circulated by some media outlets claiming that the group had agreed to gradually hand over its weapons under international supervision.
In its statement, Hamas said that certain news agencies and media platforms — citing an alleged source within the movement who had reportedly spoken to the Saudi network Al-Hadath — falsely claimed that Hamas had agreed to surrender its weapons following the end of the war in Gaza.
The movement described the report as “completely baseless and devoid of truth,” emphasizing that there have been no negotiations or agreements on the matter.

The denial came shortly after Saudi networks Al-Arabiya and Al-Hadath published reports quoting what they claimed was a source in Hamas, alleging that the movement had consented to disarm after the cessation of fighting in Gaza. (PW)
