Hamas Official: Palestinian Unity Is the Real Power Behind Political Achievements
Hossam Badran stresses the importance of unified national stance amid post-Sharm el-Sheikh developments
Palestine, PUREWILAYAH.COM — Head of the National Relations Office in the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas, Hossam Badran, affirmed that the political and field achievements realized today are the result of the steadfastness of the Palestinian people and the sacrifices of the resistance fighters.
He emphasized that national unity represents the true power to achieve Palestinian aspirations at this critical stage.
Response to Trump’s Plan and Continued National Coordination
In a statement on Thursday, Badran said that since the announcement of what he called the “Trump Plan,” Hamas has initiated communication with various Palestinian factions and national figures.
He explained that the movement has, from the outset, highlighted the dangers posed by that plan and the necessity of joint national action to confront it.
Badran noted that the final response submitted by Hamas was the product of extensive consultations among national forces, adding that the same approach continued during the negotiations held in Sharm el-Sheikh.
Cairo Talks as a Central Platform
He further clarified that Hamas is keen for the comprehensive national dialogue in Cairo to serve as a central platform to discuss all details related to the agreement and the future roadmap. This, he said, would ensure collective consensus on the next steps and phases.
Badran stressed that whenever the Palestinian stance expresses unity, it becomes stronger, more influential, and more capable of achieving national accomplishments.
He underscored that both the current and future gains stem primarily from the steadfastness of the people in Gaza and the sacrifices of the resistance and fighters confronting the Zionist enemy entity.
Political Context and Sharm el-Sheikh Developments
Badran’s remarks come amid rapid political developments following the negotiations hosted in the Egyptian city of Sharm el-Sheikh.
The talks featured in-depth discussions among Palestinian factions under Arab and international auspices concerning the arrangements for the post-aggression phase in Gaza.
These discussions have been accompanied by growing calls for Palestinian unity and the formation of a new political stage that strengthens the resistance and reorganizes the internal front in the face of the Zionist enemy entity. (PW)
