Hamas: Netanyahu’s Boast of Gaza Destruction is Sadistic and Criminal
The Movement condemns Israeli PM’s remarks as evidence of systematic forced displacement and war crimes against civilians in Gaza
Palestine, PUREWILAYAH.COM - The Hamas movement denounced Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for boasting about the destruction of dozens of residential towers in Gaza City and the displacement of their residents, calling it “one of the ugliest manifestations of sadism and criminality.”
In a recorded speech on Monday, Netanyahu bragged that his army had destroyed 50 residential buildings in Gaza City within two days, vowing to demolish more and push ahead with displacement plans, stating: “This is only a prelude and preparation for the main operation.”
Forced Displacement Under Fire and Famine
In a statement issued Monday, Hamas said Netanyahu’s address to the residents of Gaza City — telling them, “We warned you, leave from there” — amounted to a public and full-fledged forced displacement crime.
The group stressed that this was taking place under relentless bombing, massacres, starvation, and death threats, representing an unprecedented and blatant challenge to international laws and conventions.
Criticism of UN Silence
Hamas condemned the silence and inaction of United Nations institutions, particularly the UN Security Council, in the face of these atrocities.
The movement accused the UN of being driven by “blatant double standards” under the influence of the “complicit U.S. administration,” warning that such behavior could lead to a total collapse of the existing system of international values and principles.
Call for Global Action
The movement called on all states and free peoples of the world to “escalate measures against the fascist occupation entity and compel it to stop its crimes and violations against our Palestinian people.”
Over recent days, the Israeli occupation army has demolished several major residential towers in Gaza City, including the Mushtaha, Al-Susi, Al-Ru’ya, and Al-Salam towers.
Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz recently declared that the army would target high-rise residential towers in Gaza, in what Hamas says is an official and systematic policy to expand forced displacement and mass homelessness.
As tower demolitions continue, Gaza’s housing and displacement crisis has worsened, leaving no safe areas or permanent shelter for civilians. This destruction adds to a long list of war crimes committed against the besieged population, amid ongoing international silence. (PW)
