Hamas: Izz al-Din al-Haddad’s Path Will Continue Until Al-Aqsa Is Liberated
The Palestinian resistance says the assassination of Abu Suhaib, Chief of Staff of the Qassam Brigades, will only strengthen the struggle and hasten the downfall of the Zionist occupation.
Palestine, PUREWILAYAH.COM — Hamas and other Palestinian resistance factions have vowed to continue the path of Martyr Izz al-Din al-Haddad, known as Abu Suhaib, following his assassination in a Zionist strike in western Gaza City.
The resistance affirmed that Israel’s long-standing policy of assassinating military leaders will not break the will of the Palestinian people, nor will it stop the march toward the liberation of Al-Aqsa Mosque and all of occupied Palestine.
Palestinian Mujahideen Movement Mourns Qassam Chief of Staff
The Palestinian Mujahideen Movement and its military wing, the Mujahideen Brigades, issued a statement on Saturday mourning al-Haddad, describing him as one of the most prominent military leaders in the Palestinian resistance.
The movement said Abu Suhaib was martyred in a “cowardly Zionist assassination” that targeted western Gaza on Friday evening.
It praised his decades of sacrifice and his distinguished record in confronting the occupation on the path to Al-Quds.
The group extended its condolences and congratulations to Hamas, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, and the Palestinian people, emphasizing that the Zionist regime’s assassination campaign in Gaza will neither weaken the resolve of the mujahideen nor decide the conflict in favor of the occupiers, despite more than two and a half years of continuous war and genocide.
“The blood of Martyr Abu Suhaib and all the martyrs of the Ummah will remain a beacon illuminating the path of jihad and resistance,” the statement said. “It will produce the glorious victory that hastens the complete disappearance of the usurping Zionist entity from the sacred land.”
Hamas: A Great Loss, but the Caravan of Martyrs Marches On
Hazem Qassem, spokesperson for Hamas, also paid tribute to al-Haddad in a video statement released on Saturday.
He offered condolences to the Palestinian nation, the Arab and Islamic Ummah, and “all honorable and free people of the world” over the martyrdom of the commander who devoted his life to jihad and to crushing the occupation.
Qassem described Abu Suhaib as “one of the mountains of Palestine,” saying he now joins the ranks of the great leaders of the contemporary Palestinian revolution, including Izz ad-Din al-Qassam, Mohammed Deif, and Yahya Sinwar.
“Today, Martyr Izz al-Din al-Haddad stands within the great chain of martyrs—the golden chain of the sons of our people who stepped forward for the liberation of the land of the Prophet’s ascension and the homeland of Palestinian prisoners,” Qassem said.
The Road to Al-Aqsa Continues
The Hamas spokesperson acknowledged that the loss of Abu Suhaib is immense, but stressed that the resistance path continues with a long caravan of pure and devoted men.
“This path will continue,” he said, “and by the help and promise of Allah, this caravan will soon camp in the blessed courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque, when this sacred sanctuary is liberated and regains its honor by the permission of God.”
The Palestinian resistance has repeatedly emphasized that the assassination of its leaders has historically strengthened rather than weakened its determination, producing a new generation of commanders committed to carrying the struggle forward until the occupation is defeated. (PW)
