Hamas: Israel Violates Gaza Ceasefire More Than 800 Times
Dr. Ghazi Hamad says deliberate breaches over 66 days aim to impose a new reality of killing and terror, warns truce is nearing collapse
Palestine, PUREWILAYAH.COM — Senior leader of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) and member of the negotiating delegation, Dr. Ghazi Hamad, stated that the Israeli occupation has committed more than 813 violations of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip since its entry into force.
Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, Hamad recalled that the ceasefire was signed on 9 October 2025 in the presence of Egyptian, Qatari, Turkish, and American mediators, stressing that their role obliges them to intervene to prevent the agreement’s collapse.
He said the ceasefire has now been in effect for 66 days, emphasizing that its provisions are “clear, detailed, and leave no room for ambiguity,” yet the occupation has manipulated, violated, or circumvented every clause.
Hamas Affirms Full Commitment to the Agreement
Hamad confirmed that Hamas has fully adhered to all terms of the ceasefire since the first day of its implementation.
He noted that mediators monitoring developments on the ground in Gaza can attest that no violations have been recorded on the part of the movement throughout the duration of the agreement, while all documented breaches have originated from the occupying forces.
Planned and Systematic Violations by the Occupation
Hamad described the Israeli violations as planned and systematic, stressing that their repeated nature indicates official decisions by the occupation’s government and military rather than isolated incidents.
He said the violations include killings and field executions, live fire on civilians, aerial and artillery bombardment, targeted assassinations, arrests, and repeated military incursions across the Gaza Strip.
He also pointed to repeated crossings of the agreed-upon “yellow line” by Israeli forces, alongside serious violations related to humanitarian aid and the continued closure of the Rafah crossing.
According to Hamad, the number of violations averages nearly 25 per day, a rate he described as extremely dangerous and a direct threat to the continuation of the ceasefire.
Civilian Death Toll Reveals Scale of Violations
Hamad stated that approximately 400 Palestinians have been killed since the start of the ceasefire, with more than 95 percent civilians, including children and women. He said entire families have been wiped out.
He detailed that the distribution of those killed includes 36% children, 15% women, 4% elderly, and 37% civilian men, underscoring that civilians remain the primary victims despite the ceasefire being in force.
He added that Hamas has submitted names and ages of the martyrs to the joint monitoring room to document these facts.
He also noted that while some resistance fighters were among those killed, targeting them during a ceasefire constitutes a violation, and that Israeli justifications for such attacks lack evidence.
“Yellow Line” Crossings and Permanent Fire Zones
Hamad said Israeli forces have repeatedly crossed the agreed “yellow line” in all areas of the Gaza Strip, establishing what he described as permanent fire-control zones.
He explained that these zones extended far beyond agreed limits — reaching 700–1,000 meters in northern Gaza, 1,300 meters in Gaza City, 1,150 meters in central Gaza, 1,100 meters in Khan Younis, and around 1,000 meters in Rafah — resulting in civilian deaths within these areas.
He also reported daily demolitions and explosions, stating that approximately 145 homes have been destroyed since the start of the ceasefire, alongside 392 bombardment and targeting operations, 46 military incursions, and 229 shooting incidents.
Aid Obstruction and Ceasefire at Risk
Hamad highlighted ongoing violations related to humanitarian aid, including the continued closure of the Rafah crossing, restrictions on medical evacuations, and the prevention of heavy equipment and reconstruction materials from entering Gaza.
He said international organizations, including UNRWA, have confirmed that thousands of tons of aid remain stranded in Al-Arish and on the Egyptian side of the border. He also noted that the occupation has failed to provide information on missing Palestinians, whether martyrs or detainees, leaving the fate of many unknown.
Hamad warned that these deliberate and ongoing violations place the ceasefire “on the brink of collapse,” calling on mediators in Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey, alongside the US administration, to take urgent action to enforce the agreement and prevent its failure. (PW)
