Hamas Calls for Global Movement to Save Gaza from Israeli Bombardment and Starvation
The movement urges the world to raise their voices and mobilize in solidarity with over two million Palestinians facing a genocidal war and humanitarian catastrophe
Palestine, PUREWILAYAH.COM - The Hamas movement has called for a global campaign to save the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip from death caused by Israeli bombardment, hunger, and thirst.
In a press statement issued on Saturday, Hamas declared: “Let tomorrow, Sunday, and the days that follow be a roaring cry of rage in the face of the Zionist occupation and against the systematic starvation in the Gaza Strip.”
Hamas renewed its call to “the Arab and Islamic nations and to all the free people in the world for a global movement in all forms of massive public marches and solidarity events.”
The statement emphasized the need to “raise voices loudly and apply all forms of political, diplomatic, parliamentary, labor, and student pressure, in solidarity with the Gaza Strip, in support of their steadfastness, and against the war of genocide and starvation, until the barbaric aggression is stopped and the unjust siege is lifted.”
Two Million Palestinians Trapped in Worsening Humanitarian Crisis
Two million people in Gaza are facing a humanitarian crisis on all fronts, as the Israeli occupation authorities have closed the border crossings since March 2, 2025, blocking the entry of food and medical aid. This has led to the spread of famine throughout the territory.
On Saturday, the Ministry of Health reported a significant increase in the death rate caused by hunger and malnutrition.
The Israeli occupation forces, with full support from the United States, are waging a war of genocide on the Gaza Strip.
According to the Ministry of Health, this war has so far resulted in more than 58,765 martyrs, 140,485 injured with varying degrees of wounds, more than 11,000 missing persons, and a famine that has claimed dozens of lives.
More than two million Palestinians continue to live in conditions of forced displacement amidst widespread destruction. (PW)
