Hamas Calls for Escalation of Resistance Against the Occupation
The Movement Condemns Israeli Crimes in the West Bank Following the Killing of Two Palestinians in Jenin
Palestine, PUREWILAYAH.COM — Following the continued Israeli assaults across the West Bank, which last night resulted in the killing of a 16-year-old Palestinian teenager and a 22-year-old young man, the Hamas movement issued a statement early today calling for an escalation of resistance against the occupiers.
In its statement, Hamas said that the continued crimes committed by the occupation army and Zionist settlers, and the ongoing killing of Palestinians in the West Bank—particularly the recent incidents in Jenin—require the expansion of popular anger and the intensification of resistance actions against the Zionists.
Hamas Mourns Two Martyrs in Qabatiya and Silat al-Harithiya
Hamas offered condolences for the martyrdom of Rayan Mohammad Abdulqader Abu Mu‘alla, a 16-year-old Palestinian teenager who was killed in the town of Qabatiya, as well as Ahmed Saed Shahadeh Ziyoud, a 22-year-old young man who was shot dead by occupation forces in the town of Silat al-Harithiya, west of Jenin.
The movement emphasized that the pure blood of these martyrs will pursue the occupiers and will ultimately lead to their destruction and eradication from the land of Palestine.
Call for Broad Resistance Across the West Bank
Hamas went on to call on Palestinians in the West Bank—particularly Palestinian youth—to expand all forms of resistance against the Zionists, confront the attacks of the occupation army and Zionist settlers, and prevent the continuation of their brutal crimes against the Palestinian people and Islamic holy sites.
The statement was issued after Palestinian sources reported that continued Israeli attacks across various areas of the West Bank last night led to the killing of the two Palestinians.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced last night that Rayan Mohammad Abdulqader, the 16-year-old Palestinian teenager, was shot dead by Israeli soldiers in the town of Qabatiya, south of Jenin in the northern West Bank, and that occupation forces confiscated his body.
The ministry also reported the killing of Ahmed Saed Ziyoud, the 22-year-old Palestinian, after he was shot by occupation forces in the town of Silat al-Harithiya, west of Jenin.
The Palestinian Red Crescent said that its personnel transferred a 22-year-old man who had sustained a severe chest injury in Silat al-Harithiya to hospital, but efforts to save his life were unsuccessful and he later succumbed to his wounds.
Eyewitnesses reported that occupation forces stormed the town of Silat al-Harithiya and deployed throughout its streets, while simultaneously carrying out another raid on the town of Qabatiya. (PW)
