Hamas: Assassination of Our Leaders Will Not Break Our Steadfastness or Our Will
The Resistance Movement Mourns Senior Al-Qassam Commanders Martyred in the Battle of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood
Palestine, PUREWILAYAH.COM - The Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas announced the martyrdom of a group of senior leaders from the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, affirming that they fell as heroic martyrs during the battle of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood.
In an official statement issued on Monday and received by the Palestinian Information Center, Hamas stated that these commanders were martyred after long and distinguished journeys of jihad, planning, preparation, and the accumulation of strength, in defense of Palestine—its people, its land, and its sanctities—foremost among them Al-Quds and the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Names and Positions of the Martyred Commanders
Hamas identified the martyred leaders as follows:
Mohammad Sinwar, Chief of Staff, succeeding the great Martyr of the Ummah, Mohammad Deif
Mohammad Shabana, Commander of the Rafah Brigade in the Al-Qassam Brigades
Hikmat Issa, Head of the Weapons and Combat Support Division
Raed Saad, Head of the Military Manufacturing Division
Hudhayfah Al-Kahlout (Abu Ubaida), Head of Military Media and former official spokesperson of the Al-Qassam Brigades
A Legacy of Jihad and Leadership
The movement emphasized that it stands with immense pride, honor, and reverence before the jihadist journey of these leaders—a journey that has left a profound imprint since the founding of the movement more than three decades ago on the land of Gaza. Each commander fulfilled his role with distinction in his field of expertise and pivotal position.
Hamas affirmed that every one of these leaders represented a complete school of leadership and military preparation, embodying unbreakable will, steadfastness, sincerity, sacrifice, and total devotion.
Martyrdom in the Heart of Battle
The statement added that the martyred commanders remained steadfast on the path of resistance, firmly committed to national principles, loyal to the sacrifices of the martyrs, prisoners, and wounded, truthful in their struggle, and always at the forefront of the ranks.
Hamas stressed that they were martyred while fully engaged with their people at the heart of the battle, participating in the creation of successive heroic epics—most recently the Battle of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood—which has further exposed the occupation’s crisis and structural fragility.
Operation Al-Aqsa Flood and the Path of Liberation
The movement reiterated that Operation Al-Aqsa Flood restored the Palestinian cause to its rightful course and established new milestones on the road to liberation and return.
It affirmed that the crimes of the occupation against the leaders, symbols, and people of Palestine will never succeed in breaking the will of the resistance or deterring it from continuing on its chosen path.
An Unbroken Commitment to Resistance
In concluding its statement, Hamas reaffirmed that it will remain steadfast in its principles, fully committed to its national rights, loyal to the blood and sacrifices of the martyrs, until full rights are reclaimed—foremost among them the liberation of the land and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Al-Quds as its capital.
The movement concluded by stressing that the blood of the martyred commanders will remain the fuel of the Palestinian people’s battle and guiding beacons on the path of steadfastness, perseverance, and certainty. (PW)
