Hamas Announces Agreement to End Israeli War on Gaza and Begin Prisoner Exchange
The movement explained that this development came after responsible and serious negotiations held by Hamas and the Palestinian Resistance factions regarding the proposal put forward by U.S. President
Palestine, PUREWILAYAH.COM — The Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, announced early Thursday that an agreement has been reached to end the Israeli war on Gaza, ensure the withdrawal of occupation forces, allow humanitarian aid to enter the Strip, and initiate a prisoner exchange.
Agreement to End the War and Ensure Withdrawal
In an official statement issued at dawn on the 734th day of the genocidal war, Hamas confirmed that it had “reached an agreement that provides for ending the war on Gaza, the withdrawal of the occupation, the entry of humanitarian aid, and the exchange of prisoners.”
The movement explained that this development came after responsible and serious negotiations held by Hamas and the Palestinian Resistance factions regarding the proposal put forward by U.S. President Donald Trump in Sharm el-Sheikh.
The goal of the talks, Hamas stated, was to achieve an end to the genocide being waged against the Palestinian people and to ensure the full withdrawal of the occupation from the Gaza Strip.
Hamas Calls on Guarantors to Ensure Implementation
Hamas called on U.S. President Donald Trump, the guarantor states of the agreement, and all Arab, Islamic, and international parties to compel the Israeli government to fully implement the terms of the agreement and to prevent it from evading or delaying its commitments.
The movement saluted “our great people in the Gaza Strip, in Jerusalem, in the West Bank, and across our homeland and the diaspora, who have recorded unmatched stances of pride, heroism, and honor, confronting the fascist occupation’s schemes that targeted their very existence and national rights.”
Hamas emphasized that the sacrifices of the Palestinian people “will not be in vain,” affirming its unwavering commitment to national rights “until freedom, independence, and self-determination are achieved.”
Trump Confirms Signing of First Phase of Gaza Plan
U.S. President Donald Trump announced that Israel and Hamas have signed the first phase of his peace plan for the Gaza Strip.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump stated that “all parties will be treated fairly,” describing the announcement as “a great day for the Arab and Islamic world, for Israel, and for the United States,” while extending thanks to the mediators from Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey.
Qatari Statement Confirms Agreement on All Clauses
Qatar’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Majed al-Ansari, announced that mediators have confirmed an agreement on all clauses related to the implementation of the first phase of the Gaza ceasefire deal.
He stated that the agreement will lead to “an end to the war, the release of Israeli detainees, and the freedom of Palestinian prisoners,” adding that further details will be announced later.
Catastrophic Toll of the War
The Israeli occupation forces, with full U.S. backing, have waged a genocidal war on the Gaza Strip that has so far — according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health — left 67,183 martyrs, 169,841 wounded, and over 9,000 missing.
The ongoing assault has also caused famine that has claimed hundreds of lives, while more than two million Palestinians continue to live in conditions of forced displacement amid widespread destruction across the enclave. (PW)
