Global Media Highlight Failure of U.S. Pilot Rescue Mission Following IRGC Announcement
Iran’s armed forces crush American rescue attempt after F-15 downing, as global outlets report destruction of U.S. aircraft and another humiliating setback for Washington.
Iran, PUREWILAYAH.COM — The failed U.S. attempt to rescue a downed pilot inside Iran has drawn widespread international media attention, after Iranian forces decisively intercepted and destroyed multiple American aircraft during the operation.
According to the spokesperson of the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, American forces launched what was described as a desperate and reckless rescue mission following the downing of an F-15 fighter jet over Iranian territory. The operation involved the incursion of enemy aircraft deep into central Iran.
In response, a joint operation involving the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), the Iranian Army, Basij forces, and national police units was launched. The coordinated response resulted in the destruction of hostile aircraft and the complete failure of the U.S. mission—marking yet another humiliating defeat reminiscent of the failed Tabas operation.
Trump Resorts to Propaganda Amid Crushing Failure
In an attempt to conceal the scale of the defeat, U.S. President Donald Trump resorted to social media claims, alleging the success of a “special rescue operation” for the downed pilot.
However, Iranian officials dismissed these claims as psychological warfare and deception, asserting that the reality on the ground exposes a clear and undeniable American defeat.

“Trump the gambler should know—the God of Tabas sands still exists,” the spokesperson declared, invoking the historic U.S. failure in Iran as a warning against repeated aggression.
Joint Iranian Forces Deliver Decisive Blow
The spokesperson emphasized that the U.S. rescue effort collapsed due to timely and decisive action by Iran’s armed forces, carried out with what was described as divine assistance and operational precision.
The operation involved coordinated efforts by the IRGC, the Army, Basij forces, and law enforcement units, all acting to neutralize the attempted extraction of the downed pilot.
The result was the destruction of multiple American aircraft and the neutralization of the mission before it could succeed.
Global Media Confirm Destruction of U.S. Aircraft
Following the official Iranian statement, major international media outlets reported on the incident:
Al Jazeera reported that Iranian forces destroyed two U.S. C-130 transport aircraft and two Black Hawk helicopters during the rescue attempt in Isfahan Province.
Palestine Chronicle confirmed that Iran’s armed forces had “thwarted” the American rescue operation.
Republic World and TRT World published footage and images of destroyed American aircraft, citing Iranian sources that confirmed the destruction of two Black Hawks and a C-130 in southern Isfahan.
Al Mayadeen reported that Iran successfully neutralized the rescue mission targeting American pilots whose aircraft had been downed.
Russian and other Arab media outlets, including RT and Asharq Al-Awsat, also echoed the Iranian statement, confirming the destruction of enemy aircraft during the failed operation.
Another Strategic Defeat for U.S. Military Power
The failed rescue operation underscores the growing inability of the United States to operate effectively within Iranian territory, as well as the increasing strength and coordination of Iran’s defensive and offensive capabilities.
What Washington attempted to portray as a controlled rescue quickly turned into a costly and symbolic defeat—further exposing the limits of American military power against a prepared and determined Iran.
The incident stands as yet another clear message: any act of aggression against Iran will be met with decisive force, and any attempt to alter the balance on the battlefield will only deepen the series of American defeats in the region. (PW)
