Ghalibaf: We Will Regard the Supreme Leader's Directives as Our Guiding Principle
The Iranian Parliament speaker says the memorandum marks the beginning of a difficult struggle to secure the rights of Iran and the Resistance Front.
Iran, PUREWILAYAH.COM – Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf, Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, declared that the directives of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei would serve as the guiding principle for Iran’s political leadership as the country moves forward following the signing of the memorandum with the United States.
In a message responding to the Supreme Leader’s strategic and clarifying statement on the upcoming negotiations, Qalibaf thanked Ayatollah Khamenei for what he described as a wise and guiding roadmap for the next stage of the process.
A Difficult Road Begins
Addressing the Supreme Leader, Qalibaf said the finalization of the memorandum did not mark the end of the struggle but rather the beginning of a difficult and complex path.
“This message made it clearer than ever that with the finalization of this memorandum, we have only reached the beginning of a hard and winding road through which we must reclaim the rights of the Iranian nation and the Resistance from an unfaithful enemy,” he wrote.
According to Qalibaf, the Supreme Leader’s emphasis on awaiting the fulfillment of the conditions specified in the memorandum has strengthened Iran’s position in demanding that the United States honor its commitments.
Defending Iran and the Resistance Front
Qalibaf stressed that Iran would not allow the opposing side to undermine the rights of the Iranian people or the Resistance Front through coercion or violations of its obligations.
“We will regard your orders as our guiding principle and will not allow the other side, through bad faith and bullying, to damage the rights of the Iranian people and the Resistance Front,” he stated.
Referring to the teachings of Imam Husayn (as) and the path of the Islamic Revolution’s martyrs, Qalibaf argued that the Front of Truth and the Front of Falsehood could never be reconciled.
“I believe that the Front of Tawhid can never make peace with the Front of Falsehood, and it is the duty of all of us to stand against the Front of Falsehood,” he wrote.
Negotiation as a Field of Struggle
The parliament speaker emphasized that Iran views diplomacy not as a substitute for resistance but as one of its arenas.
For Qalibaf, the guarantee behind the memorandum is not its written clauses but the determination of the Iranian people and the power demonstrated by the Islamic Republic during the recent war.
“Our guarantee for the implementation of this memorandum is not its provisions, but our lives, which we hold in the palms of our hands, and the power of the Islamic Republic of Iran, whose decisiveness and blows were directly experienced by the American-Zionist enemy during the recent war,” he said.
He further stated that Iran remains committed to defending its established red lines and securing the interests of the nation. Negotiations, he said, are a means of obtaining the rights of the Iranian people.
“If the enemy seeks excessive demands, we have proven that our hand remains on the trigger and that we have no hesitation in delivering a crushing response to the enemy, which tasted it during the recent war,” Qalibaf added.
Concluding his message, the parliament speaker expressed hope that the Supreme Leader’s guidance would unite all segments of Iranian society in ensuring the fulfillment of the conditions outlined in the memorandum. (PW)
