Ghalibaf: Regional Stability Depends on the Removal of U.S. Bases
Iran’s Parliament Speaker Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf says U.S. bases fuel regional instability and warns that any attack on Iran will be met with a decisive response.
Iran, PUREWILAYAH.COM - The Speaker of Iran’s Parliament, Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf, stated that Iran’s defense policies remain firmly grounded in the guidance of the martyred Imam and will not change under pressure.
In a message posted on the social media platform X, Ghalibaf emphasized that the continued presence of American military bases across the region is the main obstacle to stability.
“The defense policies of the Islamic Republic of Iran remain constant and are based on the guidance of our martyred Imam,” he wrote. “As long as U.S. bases exist in the region, countries will not experience peace. All officials and the people are united on this principle.”
Ghalibaf: The Origin of Any Attack Will Be the Target of Iran’s Response
Ghalibaf also responded to the attack carried out by the American–Zionist coalition against the desalination facility in Qeshm.
He stated that the strike was conducted with the support of an air base located in one of the neighboring southern countries and warned that such actions would not go unanswered.
“This blatant crime will receive a proportional response,” he wrote. “U.S. military bases in the region have turned into operational platforms for attacks against Iran. The origin of any attack will be the destination of our response.”
Ghalibaf: Iran’s Fate Will Not Be Determined by Epstein’s Gang
In another message addressing Donald Trump’s remarks, Ghalibaf said the U.S. president still does not understand the consequences of the assassination of Iran’s Imam.
“Trump still does not realize what calamity he has brought upon himself and American soldiers by martyring our Imam, yet he seeks to dictate terms to an entire nation,” he wrote.
He stressed that the future of Iran will be determined solely by the Iranian people.
“The Americans failed to take a firm stance before, but they will now clearly understand that the fate of Iran—dearer to us than life itself—will be determined only by the proud Iranian nation, not by Epstein’s gang.”
Ghalibaf: USS Abraham Lincoln Retreated in the Face of Iranian Missiles and Drones
Ghalibaf also criticized the deployment of the U.S. aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln, saying it ultimately withdrew from the battlefield after encountering Iranian missile and drone capabilities.
“They made a great spectacle of sending the USS Abraham Lincoln to pressure us,” he wrote. “But this so-called magnificent bride left the battlefield and retreated at the very first encounter with Iranian missiles and drones.”
He added that a warship meant to guarantee the security of American allies could not even defend itself against a small number of drones.
Ghalibaf urged American allies and media outlets to investigate the situation so they do not tie their security—and the safety of U.S. soldiers—to what he described as the false promises of Trump and Netanyahu.
Ghalibaf: Israel Comes Before American Soldiers in U.S. Strategy
In another statement, Ghalibaf argued that U.S. defense priorities place Israel ahead of American troops.
According to him, the United States has been forced to prioritize its resources due to shortages in its defensive stockpiles.
“American taxpayers would certainly be shocked if they realized that in the defensive prioritization strategy, ‘Israel First’ has been placed at the top of the agenda,” he wrote.
He warned that the consequences of leaving American interests and soldiers exposed would not be limited to West Asia alone. (PW)
