Ghalibaf: Israeli Attacks on Lebanon Clear Evidence of US Noncompliance with Ceasefire
IIranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf says Israel’s blockade and attacks on Lebanon expose Washington’s failure to uphold the ceasefire.
Iran, PUREWILAYAH.COM — Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has condemned the United States over its support for the Israeli regime’s actions in Lebanon, stating that Washington must bear responsibility for the consequences of ongoing aggression against the country.
In a statement published Monday on X, Ghalibaf said the Israeli regime’s naval blockade and escalating attacks on Lebanon are clear evidence that the United States has failed to uphold the ceasefire.
“The naval blockade and escalation of war crimes in Lebanon by the genocidal Zionist regime are clear evidence of U.S. noncompliance with the ceasefire,” Ghalibaf wrote.
His remarks came amid continued Israeli attacks on Lebanon and after negotiations involving Lebanon, the United States, and the Israeli regime ended without an agreement.
Every Choice Has a Price
Ghalibaf stressed that actions carry consequences and warned that those responsible for enabling Israeli aggression would ultimately face accountability.
“Every choice has a price, and the bill comes due. It will all fall into place,” he said.
Iran has repeatedly condemned Israeli attacks on Lebanon and called for an immediate end to the aggression, stressing that continued military operations undermine regional stability and violate the ceasefire framework.
Tehran has also maintained that the ceasefire understandings extend to Lebanon and that ongoing Israeli attacks on Lebanese territory constitute a direct breach of those commitments. Iranian officials have consistently argued that lasting stability in the region depends on ending the assault on Lebanon. (PW)
