Ghalibaf: Iran and the Resistance Are One Body — In War and in Ceasefire
Iran rejects U.S. ceasefire extension request, insisting Washington must fulfill current commitments instead of seeking more concessions in ongoing negotiations.
Iran, PUREWILAYAH.COM - Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf stated in a message on X that the completion and consolidation of a comprehensive ceasefire in Lebanon will be the result of the steadfast resistance and fierce struggle of Hezbollah, along with the unity of the Resistance axis.
He emphasized that the United States must adhere to the agreement.
He added that “the Resistance and Iran are one body—both in war and in ceasefire,” and called on the United States to abandon the mistake of prioritizing “Israel First.”
Iran Has Not Agreed to Ceasefire Extension Request So Far
According to information obtained by Tasnim News Agency, despite a U.S. request for a two-week extension of the ceasefire, the Islamic Republic of Iran has not agreed to the proposal so far.
Iran believes that instead of requesting an extension, the United States should fulfill its commitments under the current ceasefire and refrain from excessive demands in the negotiations. (PW)
