Gaza Security Forces Intensify Crackdown on Israeli Collaborators After Ceasefire
Dozens Arrested as Resistance Launches Operations to Restore Internal Stability
Palestine, PUREWILAYAH.COM - According to Palestinian sources, security forces in Gaza have launched extensive operations to pursue Israeli collaborators following the declaration of a ceasefire.
Since the beginning of the war, the issue of espionage and infiltration by networks linked to the Israeli occupation has remained a major concern for Gaza’s security services.
A specialized security team known as “Rada’” (Deterrence Force) has been conducting large-scale operations across the Gaza Strip, leading to the arrest of numerous collaborators and lawbreakers.
An informed security source confirmed that the team has taken control of properties and locations used by suspects in Gaza City.
The operations included surveillance missions and targeted raids against individuals involved in shootings, attacks on displaced civilians, and assaults against resistance fighters.
Deadline for Surrender and Enforcement of Security Measures
Authorities had given collaborators and criminal elements an opportunity to surrender. However, those who refused were confronted in accordance with rules of engagement to maintain public security.
In central Gaza, precise operations resulted in the arrest of individuals proven to be involved in shooting at resistance fighters and Gaza’s security personnel. In the southern region, several individuals linked to espionage recruitment networks active during the war were also detained.
The security source confirmed that any individual proven to have collaborated with the occupation or committed crimes against the people of Gaza will be referred to judicial authorities.
The Rada’ team remains determined to restore order and eradicate espionage and armed criminal networks, maintaining its commitment to protecting internal security.
Armed Clashes and Elimination of Collaborators
Palestinian media reported intense clashes in Deir al-Balah, in the central Gaza Strip, between resistance security forces and an armed criminal group.
Separately, in eastern Shuja’iyya in Gaza City, two collaborators were killed during a planned ambush conducted by resistance forces, while another was captured.
Security sources told Al Jazeera that forces have regained full control over areas where armed groups had been operating, carrying out comprehensive clearing operations. Several suspects accused of attacking displaced civilians and cooperating with the occupation were killed in these confrontations.
Overall, nearly 60 individuals accused of espionage were detained and transferred to secure locations for further investigation.
Interior Ministry Opens Amnesty Path for Non-Blood Offenders
The Ministry of Interior in Gaza announced that post-ceasefire measures are being implemented to restore security and social stability in the Strip.
The ministry affirmed that an amnesty window remains open for those who were involved with collaborator or criminal groups but were not implicated in killings or major crimes. These individuals have been given one week to surrender to security services in order to regularize their legal status.
Two days earlier, field sources reported fierce confrontations between al-Qassam Brigades and a criminal band linked to the Israeli occupation in the al-Sabra neighborhood of Gaza City. This group had, after the ceasefire, targeted and killed several al-Qassam fighters near the Jordanian Hospital.
According to the Palestinian Ministry of Interior, members of the group also opened fire on displaced civilians returning from southern Gaza to central regions.
During these clashes, prominent Palestinian photojournalist Saleh Al-Jafarawi, along with several Palestinian security personnel, was martyred.
Al-Jafarawi is one of Gaza’s most dedicated field journalists, who continued to document resistance events until his final moments. (PW)
