Gaza Resistance Hits Israeli Forces in Khan Younis, Central Gaza
Al-Qassam, Al-Mujahideen, and Al-Quds Brigades launch joint rocket and EFP attacks amid escalating Israeli ground offensive
Palestine, PUREWILAYAH.COM - Palestinian Resistance factions launched coordinated attacks on Israeli occupation forces in Khan Younis and central Gaza on Wednesday, targeting troop concentrations, armored vehicles, and military positions.
The operations marked one of the latest joint efforts by multiple factions amid Israel’s escalating ground offensive.
The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, announced that it fired several 107mm rockets at concentrations of Israeli occupation forces near the Murajja junction, south of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip.
According to the statement, the attack was carried out in coordination with fighters from the Al-Mujahideen Brigades, the armed wing of the Palestinian Mujahideen Movement.
The groups emphasized that the strike targeted Israeli troop gatherings as part of ongoing joint battlefield operations.
Al-Quds Brigades Destroy Israeli Vehicle
Meanwhile, the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ), confirmed that its fighters destroyed an Israeli military vehicle during a raid in the al-Maghraqa area of central Gaza.
The group said it employed a barrel-shaped explosively formed penetrator (EFP) that had been planted in advance to ambush Israeli forces.
Earlier in the day, the faction’s military media released footage showing fighters shelling Israeli troops and vehicles with mortars in Khan Younis.
Israeli media outlets reported that a helicopter was dispatched to Beilinson Hospital to evacuate the wounded following the clashes. The reports also indicated that Palestinian Resistance fighters attempted to target a Merkava tank with an explosive device, underscoring the intensity of the confrontations.
Escalating Israeli Offensive in Gaza
The latest Resistance operations come as Israel has intensified its military campaign in Gaza City, expanding its ground offensive deeper into densely populated neighborhoods.
In recent days, heavy bombardments, artillery strikes, and house-to-house raids have been reported, contributing to the worsening humanitarian situation. (PW)
