Freed Palestinian Leader Praises Yemen, Lebanon, and Iran for Standing with Palestine
Former prisoner and mastermind of the “Freedom Tunnel” praises Yemen, Lebanon, and Iran as the true heirs of prophetic steadfastness and compassion.
Palestine, PUREWILAYAH.COM - The freed Palestinian resistance leader, widely known as the mastermind of the Freedom Tunnel Operation, described September 6, 2021, as a strategic turning point in the struggle of the Palestinian prisoners’ movement.
Through the heroic “Freedom Tunnel” escape from the heavily fortified Israeli Gilboa Prison, six Palestinian fighters turned what once seemed impossible into reality — shaking the foundations of the Zionist security establishment two years before Operation Al-Aqsa Flood.
In an exclusive interview aired by Al-Masirah TV, the former prisoner reflected on his decades-long experience in captivity, from the underground escape to the evolving reality of the prisoners’ movement after Al-Aqsa Flood, delivering powerful messages of faith, defiance, and gratitude to the Arab and Islamic Ummah.
“The Descendants of the Prophet Stood With Us”
“Only the Descendants of the Messenger of Allah Stood With Us”
In his address, the freed Palestinian leader expressed deep gratitude to the people of Yemen, Lebanon, and the Islamic Republic of Iran, describing them as “the descendants of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his family)” who remained steadfast while others turned away.
“They left us alone — no one fought beside us except the descendants of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his family) — in Lebanon, in Yemen, and in the Islamic Republic of Iran,” he said.
He recalled the Prophet’s words: “Faith is Yemeni and wisdom is Yemeni,” adding that Yemen’s noble role embodies that description, while Lebanon and Iran stand as living examples of prophetic courage and compassion.
“Your ship has sailed toward Al-Quds, cleaving the waves, and it will, God willing, anchor on Mount Sinai. The soldiers of Yemen will erase this evil. You rose for Palestine and its resistance, offering great sacrifices and noble martyrs among leaders and soldiers. Your favor will never be forgotten — peace be upon Yemen’s resistance, peace be upon Ansarullah, peace be upon Lebanon’s fighters, and peace be upon the Islamic Republic of Iran — the heirs of the Messenger of Allah.”
Shock Among Palestinian Prison Leaders at Yemen’s Role
The freed leader revealed that Palestinian commanders imprisoned by the Zionist entity were astonished by Yemen’s performance during Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, describing it as “the greatest surprise” among the detainees who followed fragmented news through limited channels inside Israeli prisons.
“We were not surprised that Yemen stood firm — that is its nature. But this time, despite its wounds, siege, and hunger, Yemen displayed extraordinary steadfastness. Even the Zionist jailers were terrified when Yemeni missiles struck. We could hear them panic and hide like rats, while we went to the windows to listen for the sound of the Yemeni rockets,” he said.
Attempted Assassination for Praising Yemen
The former prisoner recounted a near-fatal assassination attempt inside an Israeli prison on June 8, 2024, when Zionist guards poured concentrated chlorine on him in retaliation for his outspoken praise of Yemen’s courage and sacrifices.
He explained that his words about Yemen’s defiance enraged the occupiers:
“Yemen is defiant not only against Israel or America — Yemen is defiant against the entire world,” he said.
“Listen, O Yemenis, and let the nations hear behind you — nations that God has not sanctified. When one of our martyrs falls in Palestine, we weave a crown of laurel to place upon his head. And from your noble sandals, O Yemenis, we will craft crowns for the heads of this Ummah that bows to tyrants.”
A Message of Unity and Resistance
The freed Palestinian leader lamented that major Palestinian figures such as Marwan Barghouti, Ahmad Sa’adat, Abbas al-Sayyid, and Hassan Salameh were excluded from the recent prisoner exchange, calling it “a major loss.”
He described Barghouti as “the Khalil al-Wazir of the twenty-first century” — a unifying figure capable of ending internal division and restoring Palestinian national cohesion.
“Our internal division is one of the weaknesses exploited by the enemy. I believe Marwan Barghouti holds the key to unity and the correction of our national course,” he affirmed.
From Gaza to Al-Quds: Faith, Blood, and Destiny
The veteran resistance fighter emphasized that the Freedom Tunnel was not merely a physical escape, but a spiritual and political message to the world — that the Zionist entity is “an illusion, weaker than a spider’s web.”
“Today in Gaza, we are not fighting Israel alone. We are fighting America, and the entire criminal coalition,” he said.
“Gaza’s steadfastness is not human — in Gaza speak the prophets. Its endurance will lead the Ummah toward Al-Quds.”
He concluded with firm conviction:
“The resistance will not rest until every prisoner is free. The enemy’s decision to keep captives behind bars is a strategic mistake. History will record that the continued imprisonment of Palestinians and Lebanese will hasten the fall of this entity. Victory is near, God willing — for Palestine, for Yemen, and for all who stand with the descendants of the Messenger of Allah.” (PW)
