Fractured Hegemony: The Zionist Entity Defies Washington’s 15-Point Gaza "Peace" Plan

Netanyahu’s rejection of a US-backed framework exposes a deepening rift between the American empire and its apartheid proxy.

For decades, the geopolitical bedrock of West Asia has been the unholy alliance between the American empire and the Zionist entity. Yet, the tides of history are shifting, and the facade of absolute unity between Washington and Tel Aviv is rapidly crumbling. Following the occupation regime’s flat rejection of a US-backed peace plan, the deep fissures within this imperial partnership have been laid bare. According to international law expert and geopolitical analyst Syed Muaz Shah, the Israeli prime minister’s dismissal of the proposal highlights a critical and growing disunity between Washington and Tel Aviv

The rejected proposal was put forward by the US administration on July 30 through the US-led “Board of Peace”

The initiative outlines a 15-point roadmap detailing a phased, conditional framework for disarmament and post-war governance in the besieged Strip. Before this recent rejection, US President Donald Trump had even announced that Hamas had already agreed to the terms of this 15-point plan

However, the resistance understands the true nature of this so-called “peace plan.” It is not a pathway to Palestinian sovereignty or justice, but a dictated surrender designed to liquidate the armed resistance and enforce a neo-colonial administration over Gaza. The American masters seek to extinguish the fire of resistance through diplomatic traps, using the language of “phased disarmament” to pacify a region that they have spent decades destabilising.

Despite Washington’s heavy-handed diplomatic pressure, the Zionist entity has chosen outright defiance. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated on Sunday that the occupation regime would reject the Board of Peace’s plan until Hamas is “truly disarmed”

This rejection exposes a profound contradiction at the heart of the US-Israeli alliance. Washington is desperate for an off-ramp as the American empire haemorrhages credibility on the global stage and fears a broader, uncontrollable regional war involving the Axis of Resistance. Washington needs a diplomatic victory to declare an end to the crisis. Netanyahu, however, is driven by the existential imperatives of his far-right coalition and the foundational logic of the apartheid state itself. For the Zionist entity, any cessation of hostilities that leaves the resistance intact is viewed as a strategic defeat. Tel Aviv requires perpetual war to justify its endless occupation, rendering it entirely incapable of accepting a timeline imposed by its benefactors in Washington.

The disunity we are witnessing today is not the result of a sudden moral awakening in the halls of Washington, nor is it a sign of Israeli strategic brilliance. Rather, it is the direct result of Sumud—the unbreakable steadfastness of the Palestinian people.

Gaza’s refusal to be broken has trapped both the master and the proxy in a strategic deadlock. Trump can issue declarations and the US-led boards can draft frameworks, but the reality on the ground is dictated by the blood, sacrifice, and resilience of Gaza. The resistance has made the cost of occupation so astronomically high that the imperial alliance can no longer agree on how to manage its own failure.

The Zionist entity’s rejection of the US peace plan proves that the proxy no longer entirely obeys the master. Tel Aviv operates with a reckless, genocidal autonomy that even Washington can no longer fully rein in. As the American empire scrambles to manage its declining hegemony in West Asia, it finds itself at odds with the very entity it created and sustains. From the rubble of Gaza to the command centers of Tehran, the Axis of Resistance continues to dictate the terms of engagement. The imperial alliance fractures under the weight of its own crimes, while the voice of the resistance remains a single, unbroken beat that no 15-point decree can ever silence.
