Foreign Officials and International Delegations Pay Tribute to the Pure Body of Martyred Imam Khamenei
Senior officials, scholars, resistance leaders, religious figures, and public delegations from nearly 100 countries gathered in Tehran to pay their final respects to the martyred Leader
Iran, PUREWILAYAH.COM - The mourning ceremony for the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, Imam Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, and his family began on the morning of Friday, July 3, 2026, at the Imam Khomeini Mosalla in Tehran.
The ceremony opened with the participation of high-ranking officials from various countries, political figures, intellectuals, distinguished personalities from across the Islamic world, and popular delegations who came to offer their condolences and pay their final respects.
From the early hours of the morning, prominent political and cultural figures, scholars, and public delegations from different countries gathered at the Mosalla to honor the pure body of the martyred Leader.
The program also featured military music performed by the Iranian Army, while renowned Iranian international Qur’an reciters Masoud Siyah Jerji, Hamid Reza Ahmadi Vafa, and Mehdi Adeli recited verses from the Holy Qur’an.









Delegations from Across the Islamic World Honor the Martyred Leader
Among the first to pay tribute were scholars and religious figures from Indonesia, Afghanistan, Lebanon, Iraq, Morocco, Türkiye, and Spain.
Representatives of Iran’s recognized religious minorities also offered their condolences before the bodies of the martyred Leader and his family.
Foreign delegations from Turkmenistan, Russia, China, Spain, Ecuador, and Bolivia likewise arrived in Tehran and attended the ceremony to honor Imam Ayatollah Khamenei.
A delegation from Iraq’s Kata’ib Hezbollah, together with prominent figures from the Axis of Resistance, also paid tribute to the martyred Leader.
Additional Iraqi participants included delegations representing the Popular Mobilization Forces (Hashd al-Shaabi), the Harakat al-Nujaba Movement, the Iraqi Resistance Front, the governors of the holy provinces of Karbala and Najaf, as well as numerous Iraqi political and religious figures.
Meanwhile, scholars, intellectuals, and religious personalities affiliated with the Resistance Front, a delegation from Lebanon’s Amal Movement, and a Shiite delegation from the Persian Gulf countries also expressed their condolences and reaffirmed their solidarity with the principles upheld by the martyred Leader.
Resistance Leaders and International Figures Join the Tribute
A delegation from the Afghan Resistance, headed by Ahmad Massoud, leader of the National Resistance Front of Afghanistan, renewed its pledge to the martyred Leader during the ceremony.
They were joined by Shiite scholars from Pakistan, a delegation of the Fatemiyoun from Afghanistan, and numerous religious personalities who came to bid farewell to the Leader of the Islamic Ummah.
Delegations from the Supreme Islamic Administration of Georgia, members of parliament and the Revival Party of Bulgaria, as well as representatives of Turkish political and religious organizations—including the chairman of Türkiye’s New Welfare Party—also visited the farewell hall to pay their respects.
In another segment of the ceremony, Muslim scholars from Russia, Hindu community leaders, Shiite delegations from Thailand and Germany, representatives of the Palestinian Liberation Front, and groups of journalists, writers, and political analysts from Iraq, Lebanon, and Afghanistan attended the final farewell.
Hezbollah Families, International Guests, and Women Delegations Participate
A delegation from Hezbollah in Lebanon, members of the family of the martyred Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, the family of the martyred Imad Mughniyeh, relatives of several martyred Hezbollah commanders, and representatives of Lebanese national political parties also offered their condolences.
The ceremony was further attended by tribal elders and political parties from the Kurdistan Region, representatives of the Iraqi Parliament, and a delegation from Bangladesh’s Jamaat-e-Islami.
Women also played a visible role, as delegations of female seminary students and internationally active women from different parts of the world paid tribute to the martyred Leader.
Foreign guests from Malaysia, Lebanon, Russia, Senegal, the United States, Mexico, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hungary, China, Pakistan, Tunisia, India, Afghanistan, Norway, Argentina, and several other Latin American countries were also present.
The gathering additionally included leading Muslim intellectuals and activists working to promote unity among Islamic schools of thought from Iraq, Malaysia, Lebanon, Afghanistan, Norway, Pakistan, Russia, Tunisia, Senegal, and India.
Representatives from Nearly 100 Countries Expected
According to the spokesperson of Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, guests from nearly 100 countries are participating in the farewell ceremony for the martyred Leader.
The attendees include heads of state, parliamentary speakers, foreign ministers, special government envoys, political leaders, religious authorities, cultural figures, and representatives of popular organizations.
A separate delegation composed of senior state officials and political figures from various countries is also scheduled to attend beginning at 2:00 p.m. Tehran time to offer condolences and bid farewell to the pure body of the martyred Leader. (PW)
