Fadlallah: Iran Deal Will Include Lebanon; Israel Expands Aggression as Authorities Remain Absent
Hezbollah MP Hassan Fadlallah says Iran rejects any agreement that excludes Lebanon, while Israel escalates its war and Lebanese authorities fail to act.
Lebanon, PUREWILAYAH.COM — Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc MP Hassan Fadlallah said that any agreement involving Iran will also include Lebanon, accusing Israel of escalating its aggression in an attempt to preempt such an outcome while benefiting from the absence of a meaningful response from the authorities in Beirut.
Speaking during a ceremony organized by Hezbollah in honor of martyr Hussein Ghassan Fawaz at the Ahl al-Bayt Complex in Beirut’s Jnah district, Fadlallah said Lebanon is facing a bloody Israeli aggression aimed at occupying its land and expelling its people.
He stressed that the Lebanese people have no option but resistance and steadfastness, praising what he described as heroic achievements by resistance fighters on the ground.
He said the resistance is not a conventional army tasked with establishing defensive lines to prevent a heavily armed military from entering villages or temporarily controlling territory.
According to Fadlallah, the mission of the resistance is to prevent the enemy from stabilizing its occupation and to exhaust it through high-quality operations carried out with a spirit of sacrifice that inflicts pain on the occupation.
He added that even if Israeli forces enter villages in southern Lebanon, the resistance will continue its operations to deny them stability, just as it did during the years of occupation leading up to Israel’s withdrawal in 2000.
Resistance and Amal Maintain Unified Front
Fadlallah said one of the key sources of strength for the resistance is the unity and cohesion of its popular base, particularly between Hezbollah and the Amal Movement.
He noted that coordination between the two sides exists at both leadership and organizational levels, and that both share the same assessment of the dangers facing Lebanon, especially in the south. He added that coordination with Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri remains continuous in confronting those threats.
According to Fadlallah, both sides are working toward ending the aggression and share a common vision regarding ongoing negotiations. He emphasized that any decision concerning proposed solutions will be taken jointly and that there will be no disagreement between them.
Israel Seeks Occupation and Displacement
Fadlallah accused the United States of providing political cover for Israeli crimes against southern Lebanon and said the silence of the authorities in Beirut has enabled efforts to increase the suffering of the Lebanese people and raise the cost of their steadfastness.
He argued that the ultimate objective of the aggression is the occupation of southern Lebanon and the displacement of its residents in preparation for annexing the territory, comparing the plan to Israel’s annexation of the occupied Syrian Golan.
He said the presence of the resistance and the steadfastness of the Lebanese people continue to prevent Israel from achieving its long-standing ambitions. He also claimed that the destruction inflicted on resistance areas is intended to complement US economic and financial pressure designed to weaken the resistance’s political role within the Lebanese state.
Iran Insists Lebanon Must Be Included in Any Agreement
Fadlallah stated that Iran remains determined to secure an end to the aggression against Lebanon and has refused to accept any agreement that does not include Lebanon.
He said Israel is attempting to preempt such an outcome by escalating its attacks while benefiting from the position of the authorities in Beirut, which continue negotiations and refuse even to suspend them despite ongoing massacres.
According to Fadlallah, this approach not only represents a failure by the authorities to fulfill their responsibilities, but also provides Israel with a political platform through which it seeks to justify its aggression.
Resistance Will Defend Lebanon and Its Political Rights
Fadlallah stressed that confronting the Israeli enemy remains the primary priority of the resistance. He said preventing Israel from achieving its objectives on Lebanese territory would also defeat broader efforts aimed at weakening the resistance’s partnership within the state.
At the same time, he emphasized that the resistance would not allow any infringement upon its political rights and would confront any such attempt.
He concluded by affirming Hezbollah’s commitment to Lebanon’s stability while rejecting attempts to intimidate its supporters with threats of internal conflict. Fadlallah said any effort to undermine the national partnership represented by Hezbollah and Amal would constitute a threat to the country itself.
He called for a return to the constitution and the Taif Agreement, as well as genuine national partnership in managing state affairs. He warned that those who endanger Lebanon’s balance and stability would bear responsibility for the consequences, stressing that the resistance is defending its rights against attempts to undermine them through state institutions.
