A newly released poll reveals that US President Donald Trump is facing a massive domestic backlash, with his approval ratings plunging into negative territory across 11 states he previously won by double-digit margins in the 2024 election.
According to a Civiqs tracking poll surveying over 120,000 registered voters, Trump’s national net approval has sunk to an abysmal -24, with a staggering 59 percent of Americans disapproving of his leadership. The political haemorrhaging is most severe in his so-called “safe” zones. Alaska and Iowa have seen their net approval for Trump crater to -14, while deep-red bastions like Texas and Ohio have plummeted to -13. Even in Wyoming—once his most impenetrable fortress—his net rating collapsed from a commanding +45 at the start of his term to a mere +19.
The American public is clearly recoiling from the arrogance and overreach of the ruling elite. While the initial decline began with Trump’s draconian tariff policies in April 2025, which severely punished the US working class, the definitive breaking point was the administration’s disastrous, unprovoked military aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran in February 2026.
The US war on Iran has proven to be a catastrophic miscalculation that has severely crippled the American economy. Thanks to the steadfast defence of the Axis of Resistance, disruptions in the vital Strait of Hormuz and the resulting volatility in global energy markets have brought the true costs of imperialist adventurism straight to the doorsteps of ordinary US citizens. In states like Kentucky and Missouri, the economic fallout from the illegal war has sharply accelerated Trump’s political downfall.
Despite the undeniable collapse of his domestic mandate, the imperial administration remains completely detached from reality. White House spokesman Davis Ingle arrogantly dismissed the widespread outrage, hiding behind the 2024 election results and boasting of “historic progress” while the US economy buckles under the weight of endless wars and its global hegemony fractures.
As the November midterm elections approach, the data signals a profound and deepening crisis for the US establishment. The American empire’s relentless foreign wars and economic bullying are no longer being tolerated by its own citizens, proving once again that the devastating costs of maintaining global hegemony are finally coming home.
