Elon Musk Says US Entering a New Civil War
Musk makes the remark in response to protests and immigration-related violence in the US, as political tensions and internal divisions continue to intensify.
United States, PUREWILAYAH.COM — Elon Musk said it “feels like” the United States is entering a new civil war, responding on X to a post claiming that “Civil War 2.0 has already started.”
Musk made the remark in reply to a post published by ZeroHedge titled “It’s Time To Accept That Civil War 2.0 Has Already Started.” His response consisted of a brief comment: “Feels like it.”
Comment Posted Amid Escalating Domestic Unrest
Musk’s response came amid renewed protests in several US cities, including Minneapolis, where demonstrations intensified in late January following fatal incidents involving federal immigration enforcement.
On January 24, protests erupted after a US border patrol officer fatally shot a man during an encounter. The US Department of Homeland Security said the man had resisted attempts by federal agents to disarm him.
Earlier in the month, another incident involving US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) drew public outrage after officers stopped a woman during an operation targeting undocumented immigrants. When the vehicle moved forward, an officer opened fire. The woman later died from her injuries.
Political Backlash and Federal Deployment
The fatal incidents sparked criticism from Democratic Party figures and supporters, who directed blame at Donald Trump, his administration, and federal law enforcement agencies responsible for immigration operations.
In response to the unrest, the White House deployed additional federal forces to Minneapolis, citing the need to intensify detentions of undocumented immigrants and address crime. The move further fueled protests against the expanded federal presence and the conduct of law enforcement officers.
Deepening Internal Divisions
Musk’s remark reflects growing public debate in the United States over immigration policy, policing, and the use of force by federal agencies. In recent months, protests linked to these issues have spread beyond individual cities, highlighting widening political and social divisions.
The comment represents Musk’s personal assessment expressed on social media and does not reflect an official position of the US government. (PW)

Elon Musk might like the idea of a civil war, for then he could play one side off against the other and profit from both. The truth is he senses that the US has entered revolutionary times, and if a revolution occurs, he could literally lose everything.
Far better to have a civil war than a revolutionary one for Musk.
