E4 Nations Condemn Escalating Israeli Settler Terror in West Bank
France, Germany, Italy, and the UK denounce the surge in settler attacks as Israeli forces and settlers intensify a coordinated campaign of violence, displacement, and demolition across the occupied W
Europe, PUREWILAYAH.COM — Four major European governments — France, Germany, Italy, and the United Kingdom — issued a rare joint rebuke on Thursday, condemning the dramatic escalation of Israeli settler attacks against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank.
In their collective statement, the E4 urged “Israel” to comply with international law and immediately halt the violence perpetrated by illegal settlers, which has surged to unprecedented levels.
Citing United Nations data, the ministers highlighted that 264 settler attacks were recorded in October alone — the highest monthly total since systematic monitoring began in 2006.
The E4 warned that the spiraling attacks threaten to further destabilize the region and deepen the crisis. They called for full accountability for perpetrators and reaffirmed their rejection of any form of annexation or settlement expansion, which they stressed constitutes a violation of international law.
“These attacks must stop,” the statement said, underscoring that settler violence terrorizes civilians, destroys livelihoods, and ultimately undermines even “Israel’s” own long-term security narrative.
UNRWA: 32,000 Palestinians Forced Into Mass Displacement
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) reported on Thursday that more than 32,000 Palestinians have been forcibly displaced by an ongoing Israeli military assault on refugee camps across the northern West Bank.
Rolan Friedrich, UNRWA’s Director of West Bank Affairs, confirmed that the Jenin, Tulkarm, and Nur Shams refugee camps — once densely populated communities — have been “emptied” by the Israeli offensive.
Despite the mass displacement, Friedrich described how Israeli forces continue to impose widespread demolitions in the now-deserted camps under the pretext of “military purposes.” Over 190 structures in the Jenin camp have already been marked for demolition, with more on the way in the coming days.
He condemned these acts as part of an ongoing effort to re-engineer the topography of the camps — a systematic and unlawful reshaping of Palestinian population centers aimed at cementing Israeli control.
“These actions violate basic principles of international law,” Friedrich warned, calling for immediate reconstruction efforts and the return of displaced residents. “They must not be trapped in interminable displacement.”
Israeli Forces and Settlers Intensify Attacks Across West Bank
As the war on Gaza enters its second year — with nearly 70,000 Palestinians killed — the occupied West Bank has witnessed a dramatic escalation of Israeli military raids and settler assaults.
According to official Palestinian figures, at least 1,083 Palestinians have been killed, around 11,000 injured, and more than 20,500 detained in the West Bank since the start of the Gaza war.
In recent days alone:
November 27: Israeli occupation forces stormed multiple towns east of Ramallah, including Deir Jarir and Deir Dibwan, sparking confrontations as settlers and soldiers moved jointly through Palestinian areas. Raids also targeted the New Askar refugee camp in Nablus and several parts of Tubas.
November 13: Settlers torched and vandalized the Hajjeh Hamideh Mosque near Salfit, burning Qurans and scrawling racist slogans — an attack widely condemned for its intentional desecration of a sacred site.
November 11–12: Masked settlers carried out coordinated assaults on Palestinian property in Beit Lid, Tulkarm, and surrounding areas, setting fire to dairy-company trucks, damaging agricultural facilities, and attacking Bedouin encampments.
Local humanitarian reports indicate that over 2,300 attacks by settlers and Israeli forces were recorded in October 2025 alone — a number that underscores a deliberate and expanding campaign targeting Palestinian lives, land, and livelihoods.
Agricultural areas, olive groves, and harvest season activities remain prime targets, intensifying economic strangulation alongside physical violence. (PW)
