Dozens of Delegations Boycott Netanyahu’s Speech at UNGA
Diplomatic protest inside the hall, mass demonstrations outside, and controversial tactics in Gaza
United States, PUREWILAYAH.COM — Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu faced a sharp diplomatic rebuke at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York, as dozens of delegations walked out of the hall the moment he took the podium.
Diplomatic Walkout at UNGA
Presidents and representatives left the hall in protest as Netanyahu began his address, signaling their rejection of his participation in the global forum. Once the speech ended, they returned to resume the meeting as scheduled.
Simultaneously, activists and crowds gathered outside UN headquarters in New York, staging large protests against the Israeli genocide in Gaza.
This diplomatic boycott comes amid growing international distancing from Netanyahu’s government over its policies in Gaza, Lebanon, Yemen, Iran, and Qatar.
Netanyahu Targets Gaza and Palestinian Recognition
During his speech, Netanyahu lashed out at countries that have recognized Palestine, accusing them of “rewarding murderers” and vowing that a Palestinian state would never be permitted in what he claims as the heart of “Israel.”
Israeli media reported that Netanyahu went further by ordering his military to broadcast the speech into Gaza. According to Yedioth Ahronoth, loudspeakers were to be placed in front of Palestinian homes in the Gaza Strip to force residents to hear his address.

Haaretz reported that Israel’s Southern Command had already drafted plans to implement the directive by mounting loudspeakers on trucks and along the separation barrier. A military source described the initiative as a form of psychological warfare.
However, the plan has sparked controversy within Israel itself. Yedioth Ahronoth noted that senior military officers criticized the directive, labeling it a “crazy idea” and questioning its actual utility in the ongoing conflict. (PW)
