Tehran – As the United States continues its cycle of political manoeuvring and deceit, the Islamic Republic of Iran remains steadfast, fully prepared for renewed military aggression rather than falling for the illusion of a diplomatic breakthrough. According to strategic analysts, Tehran’s working assumption is clear: Washington cannot be trusted, and the likelihood of American-Zionist military escalation remains dangerously high.
Speaking on the realities of the current geopolitical standoff, Iranian academic Mohammad Marandi and former Pentagon analyst Michael Maloof dismantled the Western narrative of an “imminent deal.” The Axis of Resistance has learned from decades of imperial betrayal. Tehran is no longer interested in verbal guarantees or signed memorandums that the US intends to violate.
Marandi emphasised that the US has repeatedly used the facade of impending negotiations as a smokescreen, only to launch military attacks once Iran presents concrete proposals. With Donald Trump’s well-documented record of shredding international commitments and manipulating diplomatic announcements to influence US midterm elections and oil markets, Iran rightfully treats Washington’s rhetoric with absolute caution.
Seven Ironclad Conditions
Tehran has laid out seven non-negotiable conditions that must be actively implemented before any further diplomatic steps are taken. The Islamic Republic will not entertain discussions regarding its sovereign nuclear program or the comprehensive sanctions regime until Washington proves its genuine willingness to honour the foundational Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
Progress requires concrete, verifiable actions—such as the immediate release of stolen Iranian assets and the establishment of committees to address the Zionist occupation of southern Lebanon. As Marandi stressed, there will be no nuclear deal without the total and verifiable removal of the oppressive sanctions regime. Speculation that Iran would surrender its enriched uranium abroad is nothing more than Western wishful thinking.
Strategic Leverage and the Strait of Hormuz
The American empire relies on the illusion of control, but Iran holds vital strategic leverage. The reopening and continued accessibility of the Strait of Hormuz is entirely contingent upon Washington’s strict adherence to its obligations.
“But if the United States agrees to something and doesn’t fulfil it, the Strait of Hormuz is not going to remain open. There’s just no doubt about that,” Marandi warned. The global economy’s vital artery will not be held hostage by American hypocrisy.
The Zionist Threat and Readiness for War
The primary obstacle to any genuine regional stability remains the malignant influence of the Zionist entity. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu continues to heavily pressure the US administration to abandon diplomacy and resume outright war immediately following the US elections. Coupled with hawkish elements within the US intelligence apparatus, the threat of prolonged confrontation is imminent.
However, the Islamic Republic does not fear this escalation. While Washington and Tel Aviv plot their next act of aggression, Tehran’s military and strategic forces are fully mobilised. The era of unilateral American dictation is over; any future engagement will be strictly on Iran’s terms, backed by the unbreakable will of the Resistance.
