Sana’a – Facing a humiliating military collapse and the total disintegration of its proxy forces, the Saudi regime has been forced to seek a ceasefire and direct dialogue with Yemen’s Ansarullah resistance movement.
According to reports from the Lebanese outlet Al-Akhbar, a desperate Riyadh has reached out to Omani mediators, proposing a two-week truce and direct talks with Sana’a. The Saudis are reportedly offering to lift their brutal siege on Yemen and allow aid into the country, desperately aiming for a “comprehensive agreement” to halt the bleeding.
However, the Yemeni Armed Forces and Ansarullah leadership have made it clear that they will not accept half-measures or foreign interference. Sana’a demands a final, comprehensive end to the conflict. This includes the total lifting of the crippling aerial, naval, and ground blockade, the complete military, security, and political withdrawal of Saudi forces from Yemeni soil, and full compensation for the catastrophic damage inflicted by years of Saudi aggression. Ansarullah has firmly rejected Saudi attempts to sponsor an intra-Yemeni dialogue, correctly identifying it as a blatant violation of Yemen’s sovereignty and an internal affair.
The Saudi plea for peace comes as the kingdom reels from shock over the rapid and overwhelming advances by Yemeni fighters along the Western coast, culminating in their strategic control over the vital Bab al-Mandab Strait.
Mercenary Collapse and US Abandonment
The desperation in Riyadh is compounded by the sudden collapse of its proxy militias. According to US Central Command (CENTCOM) assessments shared with Saudi officials, the mercenary forces led by the traitor Tariq Saleh have suffered a “sudden disintegration,” with Sana’a’s forces fully apprised of every move the mercenaries made.
Adding insult to injury, the US has essentially reprimanded its Saudi allies over the incompetence of their proxy forces, explicitly stating that Washington has no intention of deploying its own troops to fight the Yemeni resistance on anyone’s behalf. Furthermore, Riyadh’s frantic attempts to recruit more mercenaries from Syria, Libya, and Sudan to bolster their failing war effort have entirely failed to gain traction.
Even the kingdom’s air defence capabilities are reportedly rapidly depleting under the relentless strikes by the Yemeni Armed Forces. Meanwhile, Egyptian officials historically reminded Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman of the futility of the war during his visit to Cairo, advising him to negotiate with Sana’a.
The Bab al-Mandab Chokehold
The strategic chokehold Ansarullah has placed on the Red Sea has not only crippled the Saudi economy but also panicked Washington. The US administration has reportedly used Omani channels to beg Ansarullah to ensure the Bab al-Mandab Strait remains open for international shipping.
In response, Ansarullah’s chief negotiator, Mohammed Abdulsalam, assured Muscat that maritime navigation in the Red Sea remains safe—except for Saudi vessels. The blockade on Riyadh’s ships will remain strictly enforced until the Saudi regime practically and permanently lifts its genocidal siege on Yemen.
Dictating the Terms of Victory
While countries like Pakistan, Turkey, and Egypt have spent the past week trying to persuade Sana’a to halt its military operations, the resistance remains resolute. Yemeni armed forces continue to consolidate their hard-won positions along the Western coast, fully prepared to crush any remaining pockets of Saudi-backed mercenaries.
Senior Ansarullah officials have issued a stark warning to mediators: any continuation of Saudi airstrikes on Yemen will be met with severe escalation, including devastating missile and drone strikes deep inside the Kingdom’s vital facilities.
After nearly a decade of a brutal, US-backed siege that created the world’s worst humanitarian crisis, Yemen has shifted the balance of power. Utilising advanced asymmetric warfare, the Yemeni Armed Forces are inflicting unbearable economic and military costs on the Saudi regime until the aggression ends, the siege is broken, and Yemen’s full sovereignty is entirely restored.
