The Response to Clarification
🖋️ Full majlis article:
In his continuation of the “Tabyeen” series inspired by the teachings of Ayatollah Khamenei, Sheikh Shabbir Hassanally explored a crucial transition in the moral discourse: What comes after truth is clarified?
Clarification, he emphasized, is not the final act—it is the beginning of responsibility. Once the truth has been unveiled, every individual becomes accountable for their response. Drawing from Qur’anic guidance and the tradition of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), Sheikh Shabbir categorized responses into four types:
Those Who Submit and Obey: Immediate and sincere actors who align with the truth regardless of risk or social approval.
Those Who Reject and Resist: Open deniers driven by arrogance, power, or interest.
Those Who Delay or Defer: Hesitant supporters who recognize truth but postpone commitment.
Those Who Remain Silent, Yet Know: The most dangerous—those who approve inwardly but fail to act, thereby isolating the truth-bearers and empowering distortion.
The lecture issued a grave warning against passive agreement, describing it as "treachery masked by politeness.” The only correct response, Sheikh Shabbir concluded, is wilayah—active, loyal alignment with truth and its divine representatives, even unto sacrifice.
He reminded that the true test of tabyeen lies not in recognition, but in steadfastness—for even the rightly guided can falter without continued loyalty.
Maqtal: The Martyrdom of Ali al-Asghar (AS)
🖋️ Full maqtal article:
The majlis was followed by the deeply moving maqtal of Ali al-Asghar (Abdullah al-Razi), the infant son of Imam Husayn (AS), who was mercilessly struck by a three-pronged arrow while in his father’s arms. The narrative evoked powerful parallels between historic and modern acts of child-killing—from Pharaoh to today’s war zones—and focused on the unbearable pain of Imam Husayn and Lady Rabab. The heavens, it was said, rejected the blood of the innocent.
Latmiya: The Light of the Oppressed
🖋️ Listen to the full noha:
The noha segment offered a lyrical lamentation of Karbala’s suffering, particularly the brutal martyrdom of Ali al-Asghar. The piece exalted Imam Husayn (AS) as "the light of the oppressed" and "the hope of the distressed", framing his sacrifice as a guiding flame in the long darkness of tyranny and as a divine promise of future justice with Imam Mahdi (AF).
Ziyarah Ashura: A Living Covenant
🖋️ Listen to the full Ziyarah:
The program concluded with a powerful recitation of “The Communion of Ashura”—a poetic and spiritual reinterpretation of Ziyarat Ashura. More than a ritual invocation, this version transformed into a living declaration of allegiance to Imam Husayn (AS), an affirmation of disavowal against oppressors past and present, and a call to rise in the cause of truth and justice alongside the Awaited One (AF).

This Ashura 1447 series has consistently emphasized tabyeen (clarification) as both a moral obligation and strategic duty in times of confusion. With each session, the narrative unfolds—moving from recognizing falsehood, to clarifying the truth, and now to demanding a meaningful, steadfast response.
As the series nears its culmination on the Day of Ashura, the message grows sharper: passive spectatorship is no longer an option. Truth calls for allegiance—and sacrifice. (PW)
