Bin Salman to Pezeshkian: Saudi Territory Will Not Be Used Against Iran
Saudi crown prince tells Iranian president Riyadh will not permit its land, airspace, or waters to be used in any military action against Iran
Saudi Arabia | PUREWILAYAH.COM - Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman affirmed that the Kingdom will not allow its airspace, territory, or territorial waters to be used in any military actions against the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The Saudi Press Agency reported on Tuesday evening that Mohammed bin Salman received a phone call from Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, during which the Iranian leader briefed him on the latest developments inside Iran and outlined the Iranian government’s efforts in this regard.
Pezeshkian also reviewed the most recent developments related to discussions over the nuclear file.
Riyadh Reaffirms Respect for Iran’s Sovereignty
According to the Saudi Press Agency, the Saudi crown prince stressed during the call Riyadh’s position of respecting the sovereignty of the Islamic Republic of Iran, affirming that Saudi Arabia will not allow its airspace or territory to be used in any military actions against Iran, nor in any attacks carried out by any party, regardless of their destination or direction.
Mohammed bin Salman also reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s support for any efforts aimed at resolving disputes through dialogue in a way that enhances security and stability across the region.
For his part, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian expressed his appreciation to Saudi Arabia for its firm stance in respecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
He also conveyed his appreciation for the role played by the Saudi crown prince through his efforts and initiatives aimed at promoting security and stability in the region.
Iranian Presidency: Islamic Unity Is the Most Effective Strategy
Earlier on Tuesday, Iran’s presidency said that Pezeshkian told the Saudi crown prince that solidarity among the Islamic Ummah represents the most effective strategy for confronting tensions and instability.
According to the Iranian presidency, Pezeshkian expressed his appreciation during the phone call for the support and solidarity shown by Islamic countries toward the Iranian nation during recent events, stating:
“I believe that unity and cohesion among Islamic countries guarantee security, stability, and lasting peace in the region. Therefore, the role of our dear brothers in Islamic countries is extremely important in this regard.” (PW)
