Badran: Palestinian Factions Agree on Roadmap, Cairo Talks Make Tangible Progress
Hamas official Hossam Badran says Palestinian factions have reached a unified position on the proposed roadmap as Cairo negotiations continue to advance.
Egypt, PUREWILAYAH.COM – Hossam Badran, a member of Hamas’ Political Bureau and a member of its negotiating delegation, said meetings between Palestinian factions and political forces in Cairo are taking place in a positive and constructive atmosphere, noting that a unified national position has been reached regarding the proposed roadmap for implementing the second phase of U.S. President Donald Trump’s plan.
In a press statement on Thursday, Badran said Palestinian factions continue their discussions with the aim of formulating a unified position that advances Palestinian national interests and responds to ongoing political developments.
Cairo Talks Show Tangible Progress
Badran also stated that Hamas continues to hold meetings with mediators in a positive and responsible spirit as part of efforts to ensure the success of the current round of negotiations, protect the Palestinian people, and thwart Israeli occupation plans.
He said the ongoing talks have achieved genuine progress that can be built upon in the coming period, stressing the importance of leveraging this progress to reach practical outcomes that serve the Palestinian cause.
Badran further called for increased pressure on the Israeli occupation to halt its violations and crimes in the Gaza Strip and to fully comply with its commitments and obligations under the agreements that have been reached. (PW)
